For true... Nastya almost f-cked up what was supposed to be a comfortable 6-4 6-4... :o whatever I'm really really happy for her... :cheer:

Petra just don't know what to think but this was a heart-breaking match... don't know if to blame you or not.

Yikes. I thought for sure that after Petra won the second set tiebreak that she would win the match. I certainly did not expect her to get bageled.

I have a feeling these two along with Kleybanova will be biggest rivals of wozniacki in a few years. They won't suck forever:tape:

Expected result. At least I got the .

IIRC there was a pause between sets 2 and 3. Maybe that was an injury timeout for Kvitova? She still contested the first 2-3 games of the third set, but after that she sank really fast and only the last game of the match went to a few deuces (or maybe Babyfat was choking again?).

Should have won the second set but barring that aberration, this was a positive performance from Nastya. :)

Its not unusual thing, probably someone (and I know good who) wanted to visit WC or whatever they are visiting when they want to have some break after the second set:p

Well done, Nastia. Should have taken it in the second set, but at least she stayed focused throughout. Learn to close, Pavs!

I just don't understand what warrants this poor run of form other than an injury :o

The other 25% often comprises Slam weeks, so. Priorities and such.

I expect her to be back by Wimbledon. USO at the latest. :cheer:

Happy for Pavly, but I really wanted to see Domi vs. Pavly in the next round, so I only got half my wish

Yikes. Nastya definitely has more game in her than you'd expect. If she can just push it into overdrive and get 10-15% fitter, she'd be in the Top 10 within 6 months. Petra...sigh.

so when i said i didn't buy the kvitova hype and thought she would be back to suking soon and got loads of posters of tf getting their back up over it, this is why. she is beyond inconsistent, kvitova plays one good tournament every now and again and even that cant be for sure.

IKR. Brisbane-AO-Paris. I saw enough to convince me that she can be consistent. I think it will happen eventually.

Sure, but you also started out thinking that she'd achieve nothing, so it cuts both ways.

I'll stick it out with Petra even if she remains a hot and cold (or cold and hot) player, which is looking likely now. At least we agree that the WTA is hopeless with so many middling and erratic players.

Pavly is another player who I wish would improve more quickly. For Petra to lose to her isn't so bad, but it would be better if Pavly actually was a threat at the business end of tournaments.

Pavs is having a pretty good spring hc season.

Kitkat has fallen off a lot since her win in Brisbane and Paris. Hopefully she'll get it back this cc season because she has a TON of points to defend this summer.

Woow Anastasia I was so mad when I went to bed after you choked away the 5-3 lead in the second. Definitely did not expect a bagel in the third when I woke up this morning. But nice start to the day. Good luck against Vika :)
