Awful serving stats once again. Shoulder? Craig. Ups and downs. Mariajo please work on those smashes :o Kim fix that serve :p Светльо Mar 27th, 2011, 09:15 PM Kimberly must be seriously injured :scared: losing a set to MJMS :tape: Libertango Mar 27th, 2011, 09:16 PM Looked ugly from what I saw. I liked Kim's little rants in Flemish though. :) muniu Mar 27th, 2011, 09:17 PM Is Clijsters supposed to challenge Wozniacki like this? "Ana-Elena epic gif" would fit perfectly here :bounce: DragonFlame Mar 27th, 2011, 09:17 PM Kim will step it up when she needs to, iīm pretty sure of that. cellophane Mar 27th, 2011, 09:17 PM Kim should have just skipped Miami... she is out of sorts and I'm not sure if she'll step it up  bandabou Mar 27th, 2011, 09:17 PM Can't ANYBODY serve anymore on the wta-tour?! Nice win Kim, but gosh.. Jalil Sherman Mar 27th, 2011, 09:19 PM http://i56.tinypic.com/2zpqusg.gif That's from a movie right? Which one? TuxedoSlam Mar 27th, 2011, 09:19 PM Not sure why Kim gave away that second set. Jada must have been glowing in daylight. Two moments of lol: That fail drop shot Kim did in the second / That smash no one could have missed in the third, but guess what... Sanchez did miss it. Couldn't stop laughing. BartoLiNa Mar 27th, 2011, 09:19 PM Martinez Sanchez missed so many overheads. Still I am pleased she is finding her form just in time for the clay season. She deserves at least one good FO run in her career, let's face it she aint getting any younger  #kArLoS# Mar 27th, 2011, 09:19 PM oh Pepa...it was still close until *23 *30 15 in the 3rd but Pepa then made 3 stupid UEs and then she didnt have the chance to come back in the match...:(.Still she did a good job,I believe :) MH0861 Mar 27th, 2011, 09:21 PM Someone please teach MJMS how to hit an overhead :sobbing: Beny Mar 27th, 2011, 09:21 PM Kim will step it up when she needs to, iīm pretty sure of that. Me too, unless she is really troubled by injury. I didnt like the match either, but maybe instead of bashing Kim, I think we should analyse :) why it was that bad. She kept hitting all the match to MJMSīs backhand (which is her better shot) but which is - and more importantly - a very flat shot. I think Kim tried to avoid lifting her shoulder too many times. Maria-Joseīs forehand has more spin than BH and the balls bounce higher. But all the balls that came back from MJMSīs BH were pretty flat and low. If this was not on Kimīs mind, then i really dont get why she kept on playing to the Spaniardīs stronger side and didnt really make her run so much. Hope she steps up next ;) SVK Mar 27th, 2011, 09:22 PM Jesus, Serena fans making drama again...no matter this happens 100 years ago, important that it happens against Serena :help: MaruSharapova Mar 27th, 2011, 09:23 PM That's from a movie right? Which one? The Ring :scared: goldenlox Mar 27th, 2011, 09:24 PM Someone please teach MJMS how to hit an overhead :sobbing:For Maria to just give those points away instead of letting it bounce was psycho behavior. C. W. Fields Mar 27th, 2011, 09:24 PM So far Kim is doing her best to copy IW; after 1R bye she has a near walkover in 2R where she drops just 2 games. In 3R she drops the second set but still squeezes out a 3-set win despite some pretty horrid serving. Will we see her retire in 4R next? Petkorazzi Mar 27th, 2011, 09:24 PM That's from a movie right? Which one? May not be it, but looks like the scene from one of The Ring, I think the second one, when she's going to that farm on an island. brickhousesupporter Mar 27th, 2011, 09:25 PM Jesus, Serena fans making drama again...no matter this happens 100 years ago, important that it happens against Serena :help: Of course SERENA fans would be interested in bad things that happen to SERENA. I don't understand your point. Lucemferre Mar 27th, 2011, 09:25 PM Kim should have just skipped Miami... she is out of sorts and I'm not sure if she'll step it up  Why?She's won two majors playing like this. muniu Mar 27th, 2011, 09:25 PM Kim should have just skipped Miami... she is out of sorts and I'm not sure if she'll step it up  :sobbing: I agree, it's painful to watch Kim play like this: winner, Ue's x 4, winner, and the whatever attitude is killing me as well, I liked that flemish outburst though :hearts: Ana - Kim encounter will be epic :hearts: at least for me. M.A.S.L. Mar 27th, 2011, 09:28 PM ^^^I think so Beny. Mariajo should have insisted more with her high FH to Kim's BH SVK Mar 27th, 2011, 09:28 PM Of course SERENA fans would be interested in bad things that happen to SERENA. She was supposed to lose the point. She goes into the press conference and says the ball did not hit her. When they point out they have footage of the ball hitting her, she says that this is stupid. She will always be Cheatez to me. Couldn't stop laughing. There were atleast two drop shots that barely touched the net :o The Ring :scared: May not be it, but looks like the scene from one of The Ring, I think the second one, when she's going to that farm on an island. The Ring or The Ring 2. Thanks. I think it must have been The Ring 1 because I remember that scene and I don't think I watched the second one. That was the only interesting scene in that movie... CrossCourt~Rally Mar 27th, 2011, 10:07 PM It's good to see Kim fight for the victory even when not at her best :yeah: MMS  Smitten Mar 27th, 2011, 10:11 PM Martinez-Sanchez FH would never let Clijsters lose this. Sombrerero loco Mar 27th, 2011, 10:19 PM nice score for mjms... doooma6816 Mar 27th, 2011, 10:21 PM It was shit from Kim, but she will improve her game as always... Corswandt Mar 27th, 2011, 10:38 PM Should have been over in 2. MJMS's low 1st serve % gave Kimberley many chances to break (even though MJMS's 2nd serve can be quite good), despite Kimberley's at times appalling sloppyness, and near the end of the second set I could feel that Kimberley was trying to step it up to close out the match ASAP, but she ended up going for too much, a couple of decisive points were lost, and we earned ourselves a third set. Which was shite nearly from beginning to end, apart from a couple of points. MJMS managed to rally with Kimberley on occasion (something she almost never managed to do in the last time I saw her play - vs Shriekarenka in Moscow), but her wonky groundstrokes are a massive liability on ROS - she nearly always chipped her returns back, and they either floated long, ended up on the net, or Kimberley ate them up. Her volleying/touch in the forecourt was at times amazing, but also did her in on a couple of decisive service games. Ferg Mar 27th, 2011, 10:39 PM Is Clijsters supposed to challenge Wozniacki like this? Put on a diaper and check Wozniaki's H2H with MJMS. Then check the amount of slams that Clijsters has and the amount Caro has. :inlove: love ya wordy gurl! sammy01 Mar 28th, 2011, 12:07 AM it was a win, but kim's serve is looking bad. hope she can improve as the tournament goes on. LightWarrior Mar 28th, 2011, 12:09 AM Kim looks bored on court. Obviously her shoulder is still not healed (she said so herself) and in spite of that she's playing Miami. This is beyond stupid. She should focus on RG and Wimbledon instead. The Dawntreader Mar 28th, 2011, 12:17 AM it was a win, but kim's serve is looking bad. hope she can improve as the tournament goes on. It's looked bad for around 18 months. Strangely enough, i remember her having a similar shoulder issue in 2002. *fingers crossed* I'm joking, everyone knows how much i love her and her gay husband. sammy01 Mar 28th, 2011, 12:22 AM It's looked bad for around 18 months. I'd assume Graf, the Williams Sisters, Seles, Evert, Navratilova? I know Dementieva got it as well. rimon Mar 28th, 2011, 02:49 AM I definitely wonīt stop crying until Serenaīs fans will not stop too...and this will never happen probably Oh, but didn't you know that there are 2 sets of rules? Serena fans can bring up the Justine incident from 2003 and MJMS in 2009 as much as they want, but apparently we need to get over the 2009 US Open incident. CrossCourt~Rally Mar 28th, 2011, 02:58 AM Almost forgot... Welcome to the 500 club Kim ! :aparty: Smitten Mar 28th, 2011, 04:15 AM MJMS managed to rally with Kimberley on occasion (something she almost never managed to do in the last time I saw her play - vs Shriekarenka in Moscow), but her wonky groundstrokes are a massive liability on ROS. She cannot rally with ANY player ranked higher than her and several ranked below her. The reason why she can't move to the next level. She's uncomfortable doing any sort of aggressive shot on her FH. When forced into being aggressive on her FH, she resorts to this hideous hacked FH that isn't disruptive enough to anyone. Everyone just preys on her from the baseline because she can't be a PURE serve/volleyer with that serve. Betten Mar 28th, 2011, 07:14 AM Who else in the WTA has gotten 500 wins? I'd assume Graf, the Williams Sisters, Seles, Evert, Navratilova? I know Dementieva got it as well. About 30 players have won 500+ matches so far. The usual suspects, and some lesser names like Dementieva, Schnyder, Shriver or Coetzer. <Sven> Mar 28th, 2011, 07:32 AM A win is a win. Keep improving your performance during the tournament please! bandabou Mar 28th, 2011, 08:38 AM Waht's with the serve, Kimmy? 10 df's?! OMG! :help: It's times like this that you miss Serena. NOBODY can serve anymore. Tennis Ball Mar 28th, 2011, 10:09 AM Congrats with your 500th WTA-victory, Kimmie! nevetssllim Mar 28th, 2011, 10:20 AM MJMS. J4m3ka Mar 28th, 2011, 10:21 AM Once again, a stellar performance from the winner of 3 of the last 6 slams :hearts: propi Mar 28th, 2011, 10:22 AM false. a cheater is a cheater regardless who they cheat against and until Cheatez does something more noteworthy than cheating in her tennis career this is what she she'll be known for. She won Rome last year, which happens to be the most important (History wise) clay tournament in the world after Roland Garros, but I guess that simple merit must drive you mad enough. As for the match, pity the low first services percentage from María José and Kim's classic second set mental lapse but the result was mainly in her racquet  jjlove Mar 28th, 2011, 10:29 AM She cannot rally with ANY player ranked higher than her and several ranked below her. Well, in the end she is a top30 player with that FH, she must have something else, right? For a player that is almost 30 and that for a long period of her career she was out of tour for personal problems is quite good IMO. At Serena fans, just get over it, it can't be good living with so much rancor  Lachy Mar 28th, 2011, 10:49 AM FFS just lose :o Betty Mar 28th, 2011, 12:17 PM It's looked bad for around 18 months.
