Great win for Larsson, but Li's record since reaching the AO final is rather embarrassing.

Li was up 4-0 in the tiebreak!
On the other hand, Larsson was up a double break (4-0) in the 2nd set after winning the first, so...

Hopefully she can go out of top 10 ASAP so as to avoid being a joke that allowed lower ranked players scored top 10 wins one after another.
furthermore, also notice that Li's 4 losses in a row since AO final were all accompanied with Dulgheru who was in her section and both were out in previous 3 ones, but Alex refused defeat this time.

Boy! What an upset! Larsson beat world # 6!

Larsson, who had never even played a Top 25 player, won a tight first set, 7-5, then went ahead 4-0 in the second, seemingly on her way to a far easier victory. Li's power game caught fire at that point and the match went to a third, where the Chinese had leads all over the place, going up 4-0, holding three match points at 5-4, 4-0 in the tie-break; Larsson overcame it all, 75 67(5) 76(5).

"It's definitely the biggest win of my career," Larsson said. "I got really nervous and messed it up a little bit, but I kept fighting and running, and somehow I was the winner in the end. The match is never over until the last point and I just tried to stay positive. I knew if I kept my level up there was always a chance.

"I never stopped believing."

Li has now lost five matches in a row, beginning with the Australian Open final (Kim Clijsters) then opening matches at Dubai (Yanina Wickmayer), Doha (Klara Zakopalova), Indian Wells (Peng Shuai) and now here. Four of those five losses have been three-setters and this was the second one where she had match point (she held quadruple match point against Wickmayer (in Dubai).

Well people are upset with this result, but they're also upset with Peer reaching Top 10. So what do you want? Here you have the complete opposite of Shahar Peer. She's consistent, scores some decent results here and there without winning anything great. Li on the other hand shows flashes of brillance but then usually plays crappy for 5 Tournaments until she scores a decent result? So which kind of player do you want in Top 10?

As for the match itself, Li had some embarassing losses but this one tops absolutely everything. Congrats to Larsson, guess she deserves it.

Currently, Na is the worst player in Top 10. Too inconsistent.
But when she's ok, she's just amazing. Simply, she has to be more consistent, and reach at least 1/8 final in every tournament she takes part of. For AO winner, winning 2 matches should not be that hard.
