(now i know what Marion feels every time, being that smart. :sobbing: )

one win would be good, staying in top100. and when i say this top100, i mean between 90 and 100. ;)
Rg cutoff starts at #108 + gets lower if there are withdrawals.

this girl can't catch a break. She is lucky that all seeds have BYE in frist round... but of course she has a top seed after. And there is no warranty that the Q player will suck. They can get good form in Q, to surprise MD players...

Shivank, don't be mad at Bruce, we have to respect old people, even if they are grumpy or senile. ;) (:p)

Despite my rapidly advancing senility,I still remember Dinara's LAST win over Dokic at the 2009 AO where Dinarik had to face GOAT-form Serena in the final...yep,back in those days,it was almost an all-female forum...with only me and some whiny, sobbing, maladjusted Hungarian dude.He was sort of a swell guy even though he rejected my proposal to use Golpeadores(Enforcers)for European Football.............Anyway,Dinarik only had a half-dozen DFs in this win,so perhaps that indicates a step up of sorts:angel:

i don't know why people thought Dokic is the favorite. Okay, she won a title, but that was long enough ago considering how hot&cold she is.

Against Vera it will be different than these last matches. Dokic, Masha, Stosur, Daniela all playing very aggressively, they try to dictate the game. While Vera is more an allrounder, sometimes counterpuncher, but not a true brainless ballbasher. Dinara always struggles more against players who doesn't let her control the game. If we look in this way, Vera is much better match-up than Dokic or Masha. Of course if Dinara has too much easy UE, it doesn't matter. But if she is steady enough, it can be a good match for her.

still i think Vera will win in 2.

Dinara has some nice wins this year. Hantuchova, Stosur, Dokic.
Its just the bagels in the losses, they have to go.
Dinara has to compete against Vera, hold serve most of the time.

Vera is going to be motivated for this. She had a bad loss at IW, after being very consistent

Tbh,I don't ever wanna equate competitive defeats with victories;that's more appropriate for players like Mattek-Sands who'll never win a title and whose greatest career accomplishment is finding new kinds of animals to get tattooed on her ass(not counting Doubles).....Still,Dinarik was double-bageled in her last match vs. a Top 5 player,so I suppose this was decent progress, huh?:)

Signs of progress. A few too many DFs for my liking, and it doesn't seem from the scoreline like Vera was ever in serious danger in the last two sets (last set in particular), but progress nonetheless.

Good performance by Dinara actually.
I think she should be positive with this and look for big wins on Clay. :)
Next up Marbella! International event,I think using a WC for an International event is a waste :o ,but anyway hope she makes it to the QFs/Semis,quality field there with the likes of Ivanovic,Azarenka and Pennetta.

pathetic tournaments, and they call these 2 weekers as "5th slam"Thanks for the info,Norby...and,yeah,it's pretty laughable that Miami puts on airs as if they were the '5th Slam' when they don't even offer video access to fans who are willing to PAY for matches. You've got two multiple Slam finalists in Vera and Dinara so it's not as if no one had interest in the match.....Maybe Miami's directors think that putting on a fancy fashion show somehow legitimizes them or makes them equal to one of the traditional Slams.Well, they haven't convinced us cave-dwellers,have they?;)
