Seems like 2011 is turning out to be a great year for me :) Every week so far in 2011 a title was won by one of my faves:

Brisbane - Kvitova
Hobart - Groth
AO - Clijsters
Paris (I) / Pattaya City - Kvitova / Hantuchova
Memphis - Rybarikova
Acapulco - Dulko
Monterrey / Kuala Lumpur - Pavlyuchenkova / Dokic

This is great for me especially when I look back to 2009 where Agnes, Petra and Magdalena were the only Winners during the whole year. Last year was a bit better with Nastya and Alona. This means the only faves which are left titleless this year are Wickmayer, Goerges, A. Bondarenko and Szavay. Wickmayer and Goerges had a good chance in Auckland and I'm sure they can at whore up an MM-Event. Alona and Agnes are both injured, not sure what to expect from them in 2011, but they have a decent chance at a clay-MM :)

Has that ever happened to you that your faves had such a winning strike?? Of course there are some 2nd-Grade Faves like Clijsters and Rybarikova but it's still better than players I don't like or don't care.

Do the first two heady, glorious weeks of 2009 count?

No, it never happened to me, but even when I only consider my 2 top faves, 2010 had a pretty nice streak;)

Flavia and Gisela won Miami
Flavia won Marbella, as did Sara and Roby
Sara and Roby won Barcelona
Flavia and Gisela won Stuttgart
Flavia and Gisela won Rome

Well as I said there are also 2nd-priority faves, I would count Pavlyuchenkova, Hantuchova and Groth to my REAL faves, still 3 Titles is not bad. And I really like the rest :)

After the Abysmal AO I am happy the empress played 3 weeks of on-par tennis.

There were three weeks in late 2008 when the Empress ruled and violently abused her WTA subordinates. :hearts:

Australian Open 2008 is BY FAR my favourite tournament ever! Sharapova, Ivanovic, Jankovic and Hantuchova in the semis, unfortunately that will never happen again... By the way lots of nice clothing during that tournament!

That's true  And Sharapova, Ivanovic and Hantuchova were playing sooo well... Jelena was a bit flat but it was just amazing to have these 4 in the semis.... And it was just Sharapova's Tournament...

I'm sure this happens a lot for bandwagoners and people who "support" a million and one players.

the player i support hasn't won a title in 6 years..... if she could just win one title this year i would be BEYOND thrilled.

and then i also half support peng shuai and ayumi morita...neither of them has EVER won a title.
:fiery:

i think it's more meaningful when you only have a few off the radar players that you like, because if they can just win 1 title it's so awesome and unexpected.

I'm actually experiencing a pretty good run at the moment too. I consider Caro, Kim, Vera, Dokic, Hantuchova, Pavly and Dulko to all be among my faves, so that's a streak of 5 weeks. Not bad :)
