Maybe you'll like Les filles du botaniste (translated as 'The Chinese Botanist's Daughters')?

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/af/Affiche_02_ok2.jpg

There are a lot of different titles available. Some suggestions: Imagine Me & You (if you're into romantic comedies), Kissing Jessica Stein (I loved this one), Je te mangerais (translated as 'You Will Be Mine'), Bandaged (if you want something different), I Can't Think Straight (good, but chances are you've already seen this one, since it seems to be quite popular), Loving Annabelle (also quite popular), My Summer of Love (I heart this film so much), The Gymnast, etc.

There's so much choice. But here's a tip: stay away from crap like Lost and Delirious or Water Lilies!

I would really recommend Fucking Amal it is just brilliant and really hot, Boys Don't cry is an amazing movie but kind of sad and Lost and delirious good movie and probably the most romantic.

PS: Vicky Cristina Barcelona shares some lesbic momments and is also a really good movie.

Why do you have to go through the expense of buying when so many movies are available for FREE online?

Check out this:

http://www.movie2k.to/movie-500749-Elena-Undone-film.html

This side links to several channels where it is readily available. This movie is decidedly NOT porn as it is a portrayal of two genuinely impassioned human beings.

I believe there are others listed such as:

http://www.movie2k.to/movie-298264-Lost-and-Delirious-film.html

But I cannot vouch for the aesthetic merits (if any) of this movie.

I've only seen 'The Gymnast' 'Personal Best' and 'Elena Undone'. All three certainly have redeeming social value.

Seems uninteresting. No romance and no lesbians (seems more like a straight mans idea of what lesbians might be)

Mulholland Drive is one of my favourite films ever, it has a lesbian relationship between its two main characters. The romance isn't the main focus of the film though.

You are so picky. It's still lesbian-ish :p

Someone mentioned Saving Face earlier . It's a low badget film , but it's a charming romantic comedy.

Aimee & Jaguar Bittersweet. I mean given the subject you can see where this is going :o But it's a love story

I have seen black swan, good movie, very creepy. But it's not a lesbian movie at all and the only "romantic" thing about it is that they are working on swan lake.

Anyways, back to movies:

Imagine Me and You - An English film starring Lena Headey and Piper Perabo with really really good chemistry.
Loving Annabelle - Student/Teacher romance, not a bad movie but there are better out there.
I Can't Think Straight - One of my favourite movies, highlights different cultural responses to homosexuality.
Lost and Delirious - Watched this as a teenager and liked it but probably wouldn't watch it again. Can be depressing.
Tipping the Velvet - One of Sarah Waters best films, one main character and 3 different relationships, quite erotic in places and also very romantic.
Saving Face - Very cute and funny movie, an identity finding movie.
Bound - Storyline is rather silly but a couple of great 'scene's ;) More of a thriller than anything.
D.E.B.S - Jordana Brewster....that is all you need to know
When Night is Falling - Please please please watch this, put it on your bucketlist.
Incredibly True Adventures of Two Girls In Love - It's like remembering your first crush.
Fingersmith - Another quality Sarah Waters film :yeah: nice plot, a few surprises, love...betrayal and all that jazz.
High Art - Very good acting, good film if you are arty...spoiler - sad ending.
Boys Don't Cry - A freaking tragedy
Desert Hearts - This film is a total classic groundbreaking movie for it's time :yeah:
Better Than Chocolate - If you don't watch this I will bad rep you :p
If These Walls Could Talk 2 - 3 different couples from 3 different decades, brilliant acting.
Kissing Jessica Stein - Straight girl finds out she's not so straight.
The Gymnast - I thought this was a nice story
Fried Green Tomatoes - Lesbian overtones but not actual action, still its lovely and romantic.
Gia - Really raw movie based on the life of Gia Carangi (model from the 70's).
But I'm a Cheerleader - I find it hard to be objective about this movie, some people would consider it silly but it has Clea DuVall as a main character so naturally it's brilliant, what she lacks in acting she makes up for in lips  It's about a confused girl going to a straight camp (probably run by the fool who badrepped you )
Mulholland Drive - An absolute trip :spit:
Monster - Charlize Theron plays Aileen Wuornos (a nasty piece of work), unfortunately it also stars Christina Ricci.
Fire - I think this is set in India  Anways two women find love and have to deal with tradition.
Spider Lillies - Watched this movie a couple of weeks ago, really enjoyed ;)
Red Doors - Chinese American family in New York, movie looks at each family member and their issues, lovely lovely movie.

I've seen more but these are a good start, oh and if you come across The Watermelon Woman that can be viewed online then please let me know, I've been hunting for this film for a long time.

The Children's Hour (http://justacineast.blogspot.com/2009/02/audrey-hepburn-in-threesome.html). Audrey Hepburn and Shirley MacLaine run a girls' school, and one of the evil students accuse them of....

The movie is really more about the power of gossip than any lesbian relationship the two leads might be having, but it's still an excellent movie.

It's based on a play by Lillian Hellmann.

Glad this film was mentioned. The best story, imo, is the first one. It's king of a downer though :awww:

Julio Medem (Sex and Lucía, The lovers of the polar circly) released last year his last film, Habitación en Roma with amazing and gorgeous Elena Anaya (who will be the main character in La piel que habito, Almodóvar's next film). Haven't seen the film but in being from Medem it will be aestetically impressive and with stuning results :worship:
4 Goya nominations, best actress in leading role (Elena Anaya), best new actress (Natasha Yarovenko), best adapted screenplay, and best original song (Loving strangers, by Russian Red)
Trailer:

I must warn you beforehand, Medem films tend to be extremely divisive, either you love them to the bone or hate them deeply, so yes, it will be beautiful to see artistically speaking but you may end disappointed; I cannot wait to see it, pity I missed it on cinema :(

If that site was illegal it would have been shut down by the FCC. Many of those flics are public domain and others never made a cent while they were being distributed in the cinemas. Therefore, there is no copyright violation under fair use.
