Groth just sort of flailed her way through that match... Should really have been much easier for her.

Morita played quite well... She is excellent at the 1, 2 Punch Combinations ! :) But was really relying on Groth errors towards the end instead of going after it...

Match point was kind of a fail on Ayumi's part...

Groth hit what was essentially a moon ball winner after Ayumi got herself way out of position trying to an off forehand... She should have just hit a backhand...

The point before Ayumi hit a terrible high forehand volley that Groth was able to hit an easy passing shot off... Any decent volley would have won the point as the court was very open.

Ayumi  I thought she might run away with it at 3-1 in the final set, but she should have gone for more. Nice tennis though, shows that she certainly belongs in the top 50.

Nothing major happened on the last two points, just that Ayumi was in control of them both and was a shot away from finishing them off to force a tiebreak, but she got out of position with two great shots from Jarmila.

The last two points:

1/ (Deuce) Morita at the net has quite a easy ball to put away, hits her drive-volley straight to Groth´s racquet, Groth hits a very good passing shot.

2/ (Match point): Morita has a short ball to put away, plays a weak FDL straight to Groth´s forehand, Groth has no trouble to hit her CC forehand into the open court.

Anyway, glad that Jarmila won, although her performance wasn´t exactly excellent.
