ESPN is televising this. At least, I assumed that after the tweets between Gisela and Alvarez (the commentator for ESPN LA). But I think this is only for Mexico and some other centralamerican countries.

It's frustrating that people in Latin America have ESPN to watch it but there is still no stream .

Even so, I donīt think many people would watch it (I could be wrong) since soccer its a dominating sport in the area and, in those terms of importance, its the one that all have in common. Some years ago, there was a channel, PSN i think, that offered womenīs Tier 4 like Vienna and some other Tiers 3.And from QFs.

Yep, there was in 2009. But last year there was none for the women.

I'm quite disappointed in the lack of coverage there has been from the Latin American events these past two weeks, particularly when you take into account the brilliant coverage that the Australian events provided.

In terms of cable/ satelital TV streaming, you have to put this into context. Latinamerica has practicaly no presence on womenīs pro tennis, while in menīs you have several countries in. Thatīs the reason why in Latinamerica you can see the local ATPs 250 in Baires, The Brasil Open and Santiago with almost no trouble, and from the first round. So its perfectly common that there isnīt any coverage now. Different situation was when Zuluaga, Suarez and De Los Rios were succesful. But now...its an abyss. I doubt they will cover when there isnīt more than a latinamerican. Even if Gise is in the final.

I actually looked and searched in the TV guide if the final was going to be televised, but nothing. Not even the menīs final

I saw the men's final listed on fromsport.com but I haven't found the women's final anywhere. What kind of idiocy is this?

The WTA falling down on the job as usual. The only market they care about at this point is China. We're lucky anything gets televised in the U.S. even.
