I do!

Yes the boot came off too early in 2010 and she pushed herself too hard, because she wanted to play in Doha and finish the year at #1!

I don't think she's making the same mistake! If the boot is off now, I certainly think the foot is healed.
I doubt she'll be ready for Miami, but I'm sure she'll play the French!
She'd probably like a warm-up as well, maybe Madrid or Rome.

Her last three tournaments were Madrid, French Open and Wimbledon. So she'll drop off the ranking completely if she doesn't play any tourneys before the French. By playing Madrid or Rome she'll still be seeded at the FO and Wimby!

Given that this has clearly been a severe injury which no one knows the full details of, I would be reluctant to say I am sure of anything. However, I think, providing all goes well, that is the most likely scenario for Serena's return too.

As for being seeded at the two next slams, with the new ranking rules that allow for a ranking based on one tournament, even if Serena plays RG with no warm ups, her 2000 Wimbledon ranking points from last year will assure she is seeded. Likewise, even if Serena starts her season off at Wimbledon this year, her 2000 points from last year will ensure a seeding.

Wimbledon can always seed at their own discretion anyway. In 2004 she was seeded number one despite being ranked number ten (granted the number one and two in the world weren't actually in the draw anyway).

That is true. However, what Wimbledon has tended to do in the past is accept the 32 seeds as they are and then juggle their order a bit, or in a few cases more than a bit. There is actually a formula in which Wimbledon use to do this juggling but I believe it is only applied to the men. But the thing is if you are not in the top 32, over recent years that has meant you won't get seeded. However in Serena's case this will not be relevant anyway as her 2000 points from last year should ensure, even if this is her 1st tournament of the year, that she is still top 32 for this years Wimbledon. And once in that top 32 mix, yes, no doubt she will, quite rightly too, have her seeding place very very substantially adjusted upwards, most likely into the top 10, perhaps even higher.

true...but even so, I doubt they'd want a situation where serena faces caro/bepa/kim earlier than normal

I don't think this is true. She has some 0-pointers factored into her ranking too from the slams/mandatory events that she's had to withdraw from. So even though she's played 4 events, they have 11 listed for her in the rankings right now.

 You don't mow an opponent down when he or she is voluntarily gifting you winners (could be of his/her serve, groundstrokes...) by not having fulfilled their potential in a given match... especially... when the opponent in question (I'm not specifically mentioning the one in that match) >>>> Rena.

You all have to learn to use the correct words for a specific situation to not create misunderstanding... I'm reassured I really thaught you all were coming with some unknown stuff... I overreacted, pardon me... it was only just that match.
