How could Cibulkova beat Wozniacki this year :o?
Awful display for a top 30 player

Obviously the new coach(Dinara's old one, Krajan?) doesn't help

Vera is so bad. Just plays the ball the in the middle, running from corner to corner and hopes for errors. This is not top ten worthy:rolleyes::rolleyes:.

People can't even say Vera pushed to the win; pushing requires you get into rallies.
For the most part, Domi was hitting 1st, 2nd shots into the net or well out.

Well done, Vera. No emotion.

As for Dominika, time for a new coach! So many forehands into the net. Very ugly.

I'd like to see Vera establish herself back in form before IW-Miami

That was really horrible by Domi, probably worst I've ever seen her play.

She just went for everything, no control in her game at all. If this is the new coaches advice well its bad news for Domi :(

Too easy for Bepa, but hope she beats Dani in next round...should have lots of energy for that anyway after basically having to do nothing today.

Another case in which the loser hit many more winners than the winner.

Guys, Cibulkova can't even rally. After 3 shots her shot would end up everywhere.

I thought it was cute when Domi gave her racket a few smashes. Feisty.

Vera, back to her usual self. At her best, Vera always defeats non top 15 players in easy sets. Never in doubt.

Krajan has turned Cibulkova into a ballbasher. I understand why she needs to be more aggressive, but on every ball? It's just way too much and risky for someone of her height.

Vera didn't really do much, but she hasn't really been playing particularly well recently. Hope she gets past the skeleton though. A match vs JJ would be interesting.

Shitfest.

Vera :o Bad form lately. She could lose to Hantuchova again :o

Cibulkova :help:

Get a brain!

Surprisingly easy win for Vera!:):yeah:

Domi

Now beat Hantuchova! Revenge, Vera!

Watched Domi play a verysimilar match at the AO against Woz I think:confused:

yeah, so similar.:p

Krajan has turned Cibulkova into a ballbasher.

True, Cibulkova is turning into a ballbasher. Problem is Cibulkova can`t ball bash.:o
But this is the only way she could beat Top players (who don`t suck).

Take her out Daniela!!!
BTW, it's horrible from Dominika.... She's a very good coach but it seems she don't have the right skills... Groth could have done much more better!

True. Cibulkova used to be a pusher and that was the game which bring her only a match away from Top 10. But nowadays, she totally lost it.

humiliates? More like Dominika embarrassed herself here.

I'm looking forward to seeing top form Vera back pretty soon.

Oh well. Zvonareva is a great player and at least she didn't do as badly as Peer did. That said, PLEASE win a title soon Domi

Indeed. It certainly didn't take much to completely derail her game. Vera didn't have to do much, but why would you go for broke when your opponent struggles to keep the ball in play for more than 2 or 3 shots.

I don't like Cibulkova's new game either

It seems to become more and more brainless bashing :o

How could Cibulkova beat Wozniacki this year?

It's a characteristic of ball basher. If they are on fire, they can beat anyone, if not, then they are able to lose to anyone... :o

in defense of vera -
when your opponent plays so badly - it's easy to dip down your level as well.
retrieving the ball when that is all that is needed is the simplest and effective way of making swift work of a potentially problematic opponent such as domi.
on the other hand - she is going very JJ in sense that she's deserting her signature DTL and going a bit too main-court as a general tactic, something she must stop if she is to make that final step, because as of the moment she's easily a candidate for every SF in any slam, at least.
