This thread is to follow this peruvian girl, who is trying to make some sound in tennis, specially because Peru dont have a good player since Laura Arraya.
Bianca is a talent lefty player with an agressive game from the baseline, sometimes try to mix up with some angles. I watched her play two years ago when she was a junior and one more time when she reached the final in a future tournament in Lima, so would like to see her playing once again and if she play some wta tournamet we will be able to see her.
Her current singlies ranking is 255 WTA in singles.

Best of luck Bianca :bounce:

i think she will play Qualy of AO 2014..

I doubt it.

Her ranking is way too low for the qualies and she has stated that with a ranking that low she won't make the trip all the way to Australia for the beginning of the season. She'll probably continue to play challengers and probably the WTA Latin swing to try to get her ranking up in order to enter the qualies at Roland Garros hopefully directly.

She is not going to Australia that for sure, as Kevid said above, Bianca will start her 2014 in USA Challengers. Im not sure about the special ranking, I read something about it last year (for US Open Q) but not sure if she is able to use it. All over for Bianca this week in Campinas.

Watched the match against Panova and actually she played well in the beginning. She was rock solid and was moving great on the clay. Her shots were intact and was striking the ball pretty. However, she serve let her down entirely, even when she was playing good. She served for the opening set at 5-3 and then just got too passive. When things didn't go her way after getting broken she just hesitated and went for the wrong kind of tactic. Plus, she started missing more and some of those misses were really easy ones. She went down an early break as her opponent upped her level to win the first and then carried it on but Bianca continue fighting and put pressure on her even if she wasn't as steady like in the beginning of the match. She then committed two horrible and easy misses, dumping them into the net at 4-4 30/30 to get broken and that was it, couldn't get it together either when Panova served for the match. Her serve was something to worry in this match for sure, though.

On the plus side, this was the first time I've seen her play this year. :cheer:

Disappointed at the result but this 25K was actually really strong and the fact that I got to hear her VAMOS! And DALE! After so long was great. :)

She just need to more matches to get rhythm going, because I knew her shot placement and drive can be much be much more dangerous..

I did check and it doesn't seem she's playing next week and I still don't know what tournament she's playing next next. But I hope is soon because the more match play, the better for her.

Sigue así, Bianca. Keep training hard!

And all the best to the rest of the Latinas who are still in Campinas. :wavey:

Bianca recently just competed at the 2014 South American Games (Juegos Suramericanos ODESUR) in Santiago, Chile.

The event was held on outdoor clay courts.

Here are her results:

1R: VS Paula Andrea Pérez (COL) W 6-0 6-1
2R: VS (5) Gabriela Cé (BRA) W 1-6 6-2 6-1
QF: VS (2) Montserrat González (PAR) W 2-6 7-6 6-4
SF: VS (7) Paula Cristina Gonçalves (BRA) L 3-6 3-6

Bronze Medal Match:VS Andrea Gámiz (VEN) W 3-6 7-5 6-2 :hearts:

I'm so happy for her. :sobbing: Yeah, it's just the South American games.. But I'm really proud of the effort Bianca put into this. Her goal was to bring a medal. And she did it. :) This is Perú's first ever tennis medal at these games, I believe. It's something. (Especially considering we sucked badly at these games :spit: ) But in all honesty, defeating two seeds and coming from a set down in three of her four wins is pretty good. Her only lost match was the eventual gold medalist.

Her next event is the 50K + H event in Medellín, Colombia. It starts on March 31st and she's using her protected ranking to enter the MD directly. After that, don't know what her next tournaments are. Hopefully I'll be able to find out something soon.

Here's a picture of her with her medal. :inlove:

Congrats my little fighter.

Keep going and please remain injury free this year.

She is in WTA Premier Stuttgart Q list

WHAT? :ignore:

She ended up not playing Medellín and she's not playing Bogotá next week either.

Yet, she chose Stuttgart instead of Marrakech? :spit:

I love Stuttgart, but the qualies itself for that tournament will be really tough.

Not really understanding her schedule... :o But oh well. I'm hoping she plays other tournaments before playing in Germany.

I will make an update with all of her results, matches and some pictures soon.

Roland Garros kinda distracted me. :p

I'll do it as soon as she finishes this week in Budapest but hoping she can stay there all the way until the end. :)
