She was on the entry-list but I guess she pulled out. Pattaya City to Bogota seemed a strange choice, I must say.

should have played Cali instead of Pattaya :weirdo: she really had a good shot with such a weak field but she prefers lose on hardcourts

3 French players in the draw and they draw seeds #1, 2 & 3 :haha:

Laura & Silvia meet in first round just like in Cali :sobbing:

Medina Garrigues hasn't beat a top 100 player since last May...she got another cakewalk draw here and could reach QF keeping her streak alive :weirdo:

Main sponsor is Spanish and Colombia apart from Castaño had no MDWC material.

OK. But in the past years, WCs were mainly for latinas (Botto, Salerni, Zabala, etc.). Even so, it seems quite logical.

What the "etc" stands for? These latin WC were the exceptions during all these years of WTA Bogotá. MDWC were mainly Colombian, sometimes Spanish and very rarely Latin American. Botto & Salerni WC were rare (not saying they weren't worthy) and Zabala I believe is either Colombian or American with Colombian parents.

I meant colombians as latinas. I don´t remember if RoRo was awarded with one. I think not. Anyway, since, Botto received one, i thought maybe another latinamerican could have one. But its obviously a rare case as you said  . In the end, latinas and spaniards don´t seem to be as strong as before . Eastern europeans are gonna rock this time, i guess.

:bigwave: Good luck Jule, first time at early stage of your career you are Top seed! :bigwave:

In 2010 only 17 Top seeds won their tournament (= 27%). I keep my fingers cross that you are one of them…
