May to July is :hearts:

And Sherlock Holmes..
Other than that, no.

I am a Pixar geek, but after Cars 1, I'm quite  about Cars 2.
It was the one movie I wished didn't have a sequel.

Most of the new movies are associated with current events, or from novels... Only a distinct few who can pull off "original" movies, and even less can actually tell a brilliant story.

Sequels are big these days - generally if you produce a movie, but it brings in the $$, even if it sucks, why not milk it till the cows come home by making more?

They've had a screening for Scream 4 not too long ago and most have said it's definitely on par with the first 2 and miles better than 3. So I'm quite positive about it.

Yes, The Tree of Life is definitely at the top of my list. I also want to see Take Shelter, Hugo Cabret, and On the Road just to add a few. And of course, Harry Potter, I can't wait for that either.

It's so hard to guess what I'm going to like this far out though. If you had told me that The Social Network would have been my favorite movie of the year at this point last year I would have laughed in your face.

True, I can't wait for that too.
Funny that both Von Trier's and Almodóvar's films had Penélope Cruz as main character but she decided to do Pirates of the Caribean IV (I guess a blockbuster will be fine for her career :() and then got pregnant... Pity both roles would have been so extreme for an actress :cheer:

A Dangerous Method starring Michael Fassbender, Keira Knightley and Viggo Mortenson.

i never understood how any self-respecting director could cast keira knightley in anything; she's terrible. and she will look like an utter fool opposite real actors like fassbender and mortenson.

mia wasikowska on the other hand is the real deal. that's why i'm looking forward to "jane eyre" (which incidentally also features michael fassbender), although nobody really needs another screen adaptation of this book.

and to close the circle: charlotte gainsbourg also played jane eyre in franco zeffirelli's version from 1996. :)

I've youtubed it after I read your post. Looks like a good movie.

Seems as the premisis for the movie is old traditional (Buddhist) Chinese vs more modern (government secular) Chinese forces or so to speak off. More like the two opposite sides are doing the battle or brother against brother?

At least that was my impression of the movie trailer I saw. I haven't read the review yet.

Claire and Phil Dunphy did a good job of outlining why this movie is going to be absolutely amazing:

Phil: Claire and I share a true love of cheesy cinema. Our favorite categories include genetically engineered animals gone wrong…
Claire:Old and young people switching bodies…
Phil: Tough guys taking care of babies.
Claire: Any sequel three and higher…
Phil: Oh yea you usually get a new cast around five and that’s where the magic really happens.

They didn't get an entirely new cast or anything, but still: magic! It's gonna happen! BAM!

The sceneries and monsters in Thor look fairly epic. Don't really like the actor they casted to play Thor though, but Nathalie Portman more than makes up for it. :hearts:

This definitely makes me curious, although I think the trailer is a bit weird.
I suspect it's about an entire life story of one of those kids? Looks like a pretty good movie.

Hanna got surprisingly great reviews from bloggers/critics that went to early screenings. Haven't seen his other movies but Joe Wright is a respected director with Pride and Prejudice and Atonement so I'm actually looking forward to this. The beginning of the year has been horrendous as usual for movies so I'll take anything at this point.

Scream 4 obviously can't wait to see that.

Ive also heard amazing things about There Be Dragons from people I know who saw advanced screenings of it last week. It comes out in May so the wait isnt too long for that one.

The Tree of Life also looks good and is another May release I believe.

That's encouraging to hear... Roland Joffe needs a good film bad. He went from directing The Mission to MTV's Undressed  A lot of people in Hollywood are rooting for this film. I hope There Be Dragons opens the door for a comeback, because it sure looks like this is it.

I liked Hannah! It was pretty much just as enjoyable as I expected it to be. I liked the pacing of it and the unexpected comedic elements, too. I also really liked the escape scene and how it was scored. It wasn't overly sentimental or emotional either.

I can't wait for Scream 4. I hope it's as good as 1 and 2.

That Theseus movie looks like it might be worth the watch...though I studied Classical Studies...so maybe it's a morbid fascination - wanting to see a legend imagined (even if it is poorly imagined.)

Well, I just watched the new Transformers, and I kinda regretted it.

It was just terrible. Whilst last time Megan Fox and the writers strike were to blame, this time around, it was just so god-awfully bad. Terrible. Other than some pretty visuals, the whole movie didn't make sense.

The chemistry between Sam and the new girl: even the chemistry between a cat and a scratchpost would be far more entertaining.

I have a new one coming out, "Bitter Old Bats" where I play this old dame in a nursing home on oxygen (I still look great though). I basically puss and moan about my shitty life, and then with one final burst of energy, I tear off the oxygen mask and sign a number in a sequin gown with spinning Calder mobiles. It's actually getting a theatre release!!

After that, I'm starring in the next Saw movie as Jigsaw's long lost grandmother. Usually I would not do a Saw film, but my great grandchildren don't think I'm reallyba famous actress, so I have to star in something that they will watch. I'm getting a cut of the grosss, I see $$$$$ in my future!

Hot off the press!!

Hollywood rumor they are making a movie about Casey Anthony, it's called "Boozin', Screwin', and Tatooin': When Your Daughter Is Missing."

They want me to play Cindy Anthony with a blond wig. I look younger than her! When it rains it pours.

It does feel campy. The director is the one who directed Mamma Mia. So that kinda speaks volume. I don't think it'll be a good one, but I think we can safely assume Meryl will knock it out the park. She brings her A game (most of the time) no matter how terrible a movie can be.

I am not really into SRK - his acting sucks but he's indeed charming(As long as it's not Akshay Kumar - he should be the only actor I absolutely DISGUST, my always favourite actor is Aamir Khan)
I am looking forward to Priyanka Chopra ;):inlove:

This does seem to be an awful year for movies coming up but there's always a surprise or two at the end of the year.

There are some great directors like Scorsese, Spielberg, Eastwood, and Fincher coming out with movies but they all seem to be lesser movies than when at their best so we will see.
