I just take the sensational win from Ilka Csoregi at the Inka Bowl tournament of Peru (G2) as a reason to start this thread where we can accompany talented Romanian juniors on their way to the Top and hopefully to a thread of their own!

I hope for a Golden generation! :cheer:

I am really impressed by Ilka's going up the ranks so fast. Last year she wasn't even ranked and then to win 3 tournaments. Very impressing, and she is not even 14 and wins against players 3 year older than her. I am a fan.

It would have been much better with Ilka, but she made the wright decision of earning important ITF points in South America! :)

Out of curiosity I checked the point system for ITF Juniors and realized that with the points received for winning the tournament today she will climb all the way up in the top 100. I can't remember any Romanian athlete going up the ranks so fast. I am wondering when people are going to start to notice and talk more about Ilka. I am so glad that she has the financial means to participate in so many international tournaments.

I actually heard that the surface in Moldova was a little atypical, not really what you call hard court. However, it's not like the opponents were all in familiar territory and had an advantage over Romanian players.

Great to see Dinu doing well. What I like about her is that she has a very "seniors" mentality, going for her shots instead of playing the consistency card which is is key to winning alot of junior matches. Once she gets her consistency, I can see her in the top 100 easily with her stroke making abilities and good movement.

So I assume you were not surprised after all as Sabina not only lost but abandoned the game.

And yes, it is about time for Irina to come back home. It's been too long since she started playing in South America. I thought 4 tournaments was way too much. The majority of her opponents played pretty much at home.

On the other hand I'm glad that they can afford the money to travel to biger tournaments out of Europe. Look at how young they are and have already seen more from earth than most people have when they are old. I think they all collected some nice memories and important experiences and of course ITF points ;) to build up their future!

I wish them good luck for the following weeks! :cheer:

Yes, I thought the same thing. That was some nice touristic tour of South America for both Ilka and Irina with different countries visited for each tournament.
As for Ilka, since I am a big fan I found on another message board that she had a minor back injury (some sort of stiffness), which forced her to withdraw from that last tournament. She said about 2 weeks ago to a third party that she didn't know where she will compete next.

Personally I think a lot of juniors from former eastern europe have a mentality problem and they can not produce the same on the WTA tour. It started long ago and the history is full of juniors from the east winning and being presented as future number ones and they never really had any kind of results. Sorana is the best example. Ruxandra dragomir saw in her the number one player in the world and she is outside top 100 and her generation friend Caro is now number 1. Same with Radu - she was presented as number one junior in the world by her coach and in Australia she was nowhere to be seen. I think in the east there is a lot of presure on juniors and they cannot develop properly. Same applies for boys juniors: Mergea, Tecau former number ones never produced anything in the singles. Tecau managed to get into doubles but Mergea didn't manage anything. so I would be more happy to see exceptional players play on the WTA tour even when they are juniors (hingis, Graff , Williams were 16,17,18 when they were winning GS tournaments) than go and waste time on the minor tournaments. If you have value you shouldn't be afraid to go and play on any surface against top senior players.

If you have value you shouldn't be afraid to go and play on any surface against top senior players.

You are right that exceptional players should play WTA tournaments as fast as possible, but as you said only the most outstanding (talented) players are good enough to have some success there without overworking themselves. Even our current number one Wozniacki started through when she was "already" 17.

I think we have a number of very decent junior players, but of course none of them is a high-flyer. So, it's more than ok for them to start playing ITF junior tournaments and you have to see that they most likely play G2 upwards, the higher rated ones.

All in all we shouldn't forget that a good junior career indicates a certain talent, but is no guarantee for a successful senior career. There are far too many unknown factors. Some of them have a fulminant breakthrough on the WTA, but as fast as they reached the center of attention, as fast the often called tomorrow's stars die down like a sparkling in the rain. Others have never been noticed of during their early career, but almost exploded in terms of improvement when they became older. And there is a group of some players who were decent juniors, but just needed more time to adapt to the higher WTA standards to come back even more impressive like or Alex did.

You are right that many Romanian juniors didn't make the best out of their abilities and potential, especially Sori's latest performances are very disappointing. But she has only been #9 of the year end's junior ranking in her group of age and it seems that she has already achieved more than one could think of her, considering that former junior Top 5 players and junior slam winners like Rus or Flipkens never reached anything noticeable on the tour. But you are right that she degressed and that is really a pity!
To Radu, I never understood why she has been hyped that much. She is not even in the Top 200 of the Junior ITF ranking at the age of 17 and only because she won one or two weak 10k tournaments don't mean that she has to be a future Top Tenner.

It's interesting that you see a connection between East European society and the fact of lost talents, but in my opinion it is only one lesser reason why some Romanian talents couldn't transform their achievements to WTA or ATP level. In contrast to that the three biggest wasted talents or already praised future superstars come from Western Europe (Larcher de Brito, Paszek and Mladenovic), last one because of many injuries, but concerning the other girls mainly because of their attitude and probably environment. Maybe they were burned out or simply lost their ambition because of the thousands of Euros they have earned when they have actually been kids. I think that you are right that especially in Eastern Europe some parents would be ready to do everything to make their children successful sportsmen/women for earning money with them and their popularity. The coaching methods are often doubtable and very hard for the children, so that only the ones with the strongest ambition or the ones who had luck to stay injury free come through.
Keeping this in mind, I would for example say that Wozniacki has a stronger personality than Sorana because she had to practice at least as much as Sori in her youth (knowing her father I would even say more), but is still able to focus and to stand up the pressure while Sori seems to be a nervous wreck at the moment.

In fact every player has another personality no matter from where he/she comes, so generalized claims are not really a reason for the different developments of them. One of them nearly stay injury-free during their early career or even later on, others are walking from one problem to another. Some have a strong personality and are real fighters, others are not and spend their time rather on dispensing the price money they have already won. Some of them find the right coach and good working conitions, others don't.
It's hard to predict future careers of junior players, but from our current junior generation, Ilka Csoregi seems to be most talented and really down-to-earth. Her claycourt abilities are far over the average standard of her age! We will see what she can reach in her further career. :)

I believe Ilka has a good chance to make the quarters if she can defeat either Kovinic or Casares in round 2. Both are very good players, in pretty good shape at the moment.
As for Cristina, her first real test will likely be in round 3 obviously if she meets Gavrilova.

I know Danka was favorite and older than Ilka but I am still sad.

Curcubeu
May 31st, 2011, 05:17 PM
The second set was too one-sided in my opinion, but she was at least competitive for the first half of the match and we shouldn't forget that Kovinic is, as you said, older and #7 junior of the world. And Ilka's desater from the national championships where she lost to Talaba was still in my mind, so this result seems ok to me.

She will have her chances in the following years! :)

On the other hand, Cristina really disappointed me how her level dropped in the second set and Maryna was totally hopeless against Gavrilova today... :o
It was her last chance of making some noise at a junior slam. Pity that it ended that way... :(

codrutc
May 31st, 2011, 06:21 PM
Yes, my expectations will be higher for Ilka next year.
At least both she and Cristina won their double matches today.
Kovalets/Csoregi will play Kromacheva/Zanevka next, looking forward to that one.

And, Curcubeu, did you hear that Ilka is not going to play at Wimbledon? Why is that?

Curcubeu
May 31st, 2011, 07:07 PM
The only possible reason which comes to my mind is that she has never played on grass before as far as I'm concerned...

Otherwise, I don't have any clue! She prefers playing junior clay tournaments instead! :)

Bogdan is a hell of a boy! He's awesome and could become a top 10 player for sure if he continues! :)

Well done also to the girls, but I'm quite disappointed with the singles results were Ioana lost early, though being #4 seed. To be honest many results seemed very random.

Ilka didn't start in the championships, but she is on the entry list for the junior Fed Cup competition! :)

Awesome! :cheer:  :woohoo:

I'm so happy that the new tennis boom also reaches the male junior side! :D
We really need them in future because we have still some way to go on the ATP side!

Imagine our future tennis team! :hearts:

On the women's side we have in the junior category very talented youngsters like Ilka Csoregi and the two Rosca's, especially Andreea + from our current team Halep, Dulgheru, Cîrstea and of course Begu, none of them older than 22 years at the moment! :D
Let's see what other prospect players Elena Bogdan, Cadantu or Dinu will reach in future. And to consider that Ana Bogdan or Buzarnescu were also former Top 10 juniors whose successful careers were clearly influenced by some bad luck in injuries. Not to mention Olaru, but her slump is obviously another case...

Great news. Andrea Rosca is fantastic, not a single game lost this year in her age category.

She lost one set in final at Pecs. She won all international matches this year at U12 category.
At doubles she lost one international match at Pitesti.

In Romania, she does't lost a match since last summer (12 years) (Ivascu Iulia beat her at the Nationals, in finals). Last year, romanian team (Ivascu, Andreea, Pietroiu) won their group but lost to Cehia in the decisive match (2-1). As such, they didn't qualified in the final stage. Andreea had 3-0 in the first set and 4-2 in the second one but she lost both sets.

Her succes is based on hard work (5-6 hours per day training), very very good physical condition and a good trainer. The trainer (Paul Bozdog) is the former trainer of Cristina Dinu and Chirea Patricia.

Translated by google:

From since Ilie Nastase, Romanian tennis can be said about the suffering in Chapter leaders internationally. But a kid who started playing tennis in Cugir to 7 years, Alexandru Bogdan Borza, not agreed with this and managed to age category, 14 years to settle on the first position of the European league. Bogdan, who "stole" the job just watching it on TV on Novak Djokovic, managed to win nine titles before national champion in singles and doubles and won four international tournaments this year only. None of these results can be compared with No. 2 obtained at the most important junior tournament for his age category, "Les Petits As", and the gold medal at the European Summer Cup. In the final competition, the Romanian team managed to impose his followers against Nadal and Ferrer of Spain team.

After this success, Bob was co-opted the Wilson team sports equipment manufacturer, is presented as a peak of his generation on the U.S. manufacturer's tennis blog. Also, excellent results have propelled him to the famous tennis academy Borza's Nick Bollettieri.

We have a Romanian in the Top 10 most beautiful tennis player in the world, Raluca Olaru. Compared to foreign journalists with actress Jessica Alba, on line sports Raluca now stands at number 228 WTA. If you would compile a ranking of the world's finest players and junior Jacqueline Adina Romanian woman certainly would Cristian ranked among the top 10. And young players is exceptional in dealing with sports scores, the number one in Romania age category, U14.

Jaqueline is the youngest national team of Romania U14, which has already played a European tournament and played in the doubles final in July the European Championships. He wants to get into the European rankings and to arrive in the best 20 players.

He lives and teaches in a Turkish Bucharest

This year, Bogdan was transferred to the school in Bucharest, the National College "Emil Racovita", which is in eighth grade. "I received excellent colleagues and the teachers are very good," says Bogdan. Daniel Dobre training them in the sport Pescariu, where he lives in an apartment with a junior tennis player Turkish. "Bogdan is very sociable, has adjusted immediately in Bucharest. In exceptional circumstances we have on our board and lodging. As evidence began to come to us and children from other countries we have athletes from Egypt, Germany, China and Austria" says Dobre. "In the sport was great player Dinu Pescariu have a foundation that supports children. We have cooperation with a project ANSTI and the American School. While they worked with Ungur, Cadantu, Crivoi, we can say that we approach the highest level in Romania, "added Dobre.

Rapid thoroughbred

Although Bogdan is melted after football, like his father when he hears of sports-mad king. "I do not want to hear about football, I do not want to get injured, he plays tennis, so," said John Borza sec. But Bogdan playing football on Friday, in training, and likes to move the station forward. Rapid thoroughbred is both grandfather and father were fanatics after giuleşteană team. The much loved and was in the stands Spadacio the national scene, the Star - fast. He played as a child in Cugir, the city team, along with a good friend, Cristian Kiliman. From the likes of Mutu national, more taken with Real Madrid, where he likes Ronaldo.

Read before you sleep

Despite having a busy schedule, Bogdan got to read half an hour before sleep and now lecturează "Open", the book's autobiographical Andre Agassi. It motivates before training and matches with Mickael Jackson's music and says he watched last film was "In Time" with Amanda Seyfried and Justin Timberlake. So much that the likes of Novak Djokovic learned that only some procedures from watching it on TV, of course "stealing them" and dance moves.

It grew 15 cm in 2011!

Puberty Cugir meant to brave the 15-cm increase in height in 2011. "It was a small deficit created by this growth physically, in fact natural at his age. He lost little in terms coordination, but we will work to strengthen the body and the next two years, that no physical talent means nothing. However, Bogdan, which is extremely talented, managed to quickly compensate for this small deficit by instinct, in that it feels tactical opponent, "said coach Daniel Dobre, at the hand of the past which have Pescariu Dinu, Alexander or Alexandra Dulgheru Moldovan. "It is very motivated and ambitious, sometimes forget that tennis is just a game, but these things we try to manage the position as 18 years to reach top form," adds Dobre.

Marathoner in Bucharest

"Sharapova" of Romania crosses the distance of a marathon almost every day, Camp Road route (house) - "High Mircea Eliade" - the sport "Enache" in Herastrau, return, and only that to reconcile both tennis and school. Now it's in eighth grade to high school "Mircea Eliade", transferring from High School "Eugen Lovinescu."

Performance is not supported by authority

"Every day at 6:30, Jaqueline is Herastrau, which runs through the park half an hour. Then at 7:00, is training at the" Enache "and the afternoon is a second workout. And Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays do physical training in the Youth or the former "23 August", "we reveal Luminita, Jaqueline's mother. Junior coach, Cornelius Mario Enache says that in the West, children are athletes strongly supported by the authorities: "In the West or the State Children athletes can choose several subjects. They carry out training, eat and stay the same campus, in order to avoid unnecessary depletion caused by road.'ve been trying to turn the complex into something similar Herăstrău Western models, but we need permission to be able to teach and support you need and authorities. "

Hobbies, reading and music pop

Jaqueline is passionate about reading, saying that it is the fourth volume of the book "Twilight" by Stephanie Meyer. However, much literature devoreză and obviously tennis. She likes pop music and says that often do not have time to watch a movie or look at other sports. When asked why players prefer Romanian has Jaqueline lists a litany of diplomacy on Sorana Cirstea, Simona Halep, Horia Tecau, Victor Hanescu, Marius Child and Victor Crivoi. Among foreigners say that the likes of Maria Sharapova, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Serena Williams. "The style of game I like to think that I look like Sharapova, is an attack player, hit every ball," said Jaqueline.

Enemies of "baloniştilor"

"In short, Jaqueline worked a game offensively, I'm not interested in short term outcome or to obtain titles to 10 years. I wanted to develop the sport, the game had built them to deliver results in 17 to 18 years" Cornel says Enache, working with Jacqueline at the age of 3 ˝ years. "There are few coaches that Romanian style prints wrong with these" balloons ", obtaining short-term results, just to justify to the parents. Enache, who worked many years in Germany, says that playing abroad otherwise that teaches there to play tactically and not interested in the results up to 14 years. "We could have a greater mass of players that would give the" balloons ". That appreciated and Jacqueline Americans that do not play unorthodox and aggressive style has a future game. "

Go to "Eddie Herr" and Orange Bowl thanks to the exceptional, the two representatives of Romania, Bogdan Borza (left) and Jaqueline Cristian (right) are invited to participate, between 27 November and 5 December, the tour "Eddie Herr" held at Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy. Then, the two champions will be present, between 17 and 23 December, the Orange Bowl, a true World Championship for children and junior tennis.

I have nine hundredths Jaqueline's free media to finish with ten and at school last year. Although the program has an infernal, Jaqueline has not neglected the school, its average over the last year in High School "Eugen Lovinescu" is 9.91

8 years. At age acaestă, Jaqueline did a few months of piano training, but, although he liked, could not continue because of school-training program infernal

Especially Bogdan seems to be a very promising junior! Interesting that he is coached by Dulgheru's former coach Dobre, I didn't know that!

Yes, they are all not that bad looking for girls of their age and all of them appear to me as very natural! :)

Yeah, Ilka and Alexandra have a lot in common, especially that they both are nearly only playing on clay on junior level, Ilka is even more extreme.

What? :hysteric:

Google translate! :worship:

He is visiting a college in Bucharest since this year because training possibilities and formation are much better there and he is sharing his junior apartment with a young Turkish player who is also training here!

Time for another update. After some players leaving the ITF junior circuit, Ilka got herself up to a new career high of #17 in the junior rankings. Moreover, she will start at the G1 Eddie Herr International Junior Tennis Championships this week in the US being #4 seed! :)

Cadar on the other hand now plays regularly on ITF qualies and even won against Dalila Jakupovic from Slovenia last week in Antalya, scoring her best career win! :worship:
The same goes for Tig, who got herself a WTA ranking! Her best result was beating Kovinic and nearly reaching the quarters of the 25k in Dobrich! :)

Cristina left the junior circuit after Wimbledon and can be removed from the list. She is ranked in the WTA Top 300 now for the first time! :D
Lupu also established herself at 10k level, reaching 3 10k quarterfinals in between! Her best win was a straight set victory against countrywoman Mitu! :)

Bara improved her ITF junior ranking for a Top 100 spot after reaching the final of the G2 tournament in Pancevo!

Radu on the other hand with a terrible season on the ITF. Really nothing positive to say there... :tape:

Ioana-Loredana Rosca is currently playing her 3rd 10k tournament in Antalya. She reached the semis at 10k Arad and nearly reached round 2 last week, but failed to take her MPs against Kolb... :o
She played junior Fed Cup (quite disappointing), but got herself nearly into the Top 100! :)

Ducu improved her ITF junior ranking and collected some experiences on the ITF circuit. She is playing qualies at the Eddie Herr Cup this week!

Ene also climbed up the junior rankings and even scored her first double bagel on the official ITF circuit lat week in Antalya!
She is playing Antalya Q this week, too!

Andrei is also playing 10k's now, but with rather small success. She reached the semifinal of the G5 Herodotou Tennis Academy in between on the junior circuit.

Gradinaru hasn't played for some weeks, but she is also mixing between ITF juniors and 10k's and got an official WTA ranking. :)

And last but not least, Ciufrila was very active on junior level and climbed up to #314 this week reaching the semifinal of G3 Messika Open in between.

Oana Simion reached the final of the G4 Sanchez-Casal Junior Cup and propelled herself up to a rank in the 300s! :)

Will post a complete list now! :D

Yes, you are right. She hasn't won against a Top 10 junior so far in her career, her best win was against Jaksic (#13) in Novi Sad, but what concerns me most is that she is really a 100% clay specialist at that point...

She looks REALLY fit for such a young girl :worship:

she's 1,73m - almost as tall as Sorana :worship: her fastest serve in the final was 191 km/h:eek: faster then Begu's personal record:lol:

She receved a lot of attention in the media after winning Les Petits As, lots of interviews and articles. I translated one from gsp.ro in which she talks about her daily routine.

Jaqueline Cristian talks about her passion: tennis
It's 5:30 in the morning. In the Cristians family home sounds the alarm clock. Noise that makes your brain mush comes from Jaqueline's room. This is how it begins for many years, each day for the young tennis player who recently won the most important U14 tournament, Les Petits As. Jaqueline says amused: "I usually wake up very easily. I go to the bathroom, I eat a sandwich or cereal with milk in a hurry and run to the car, to get the first tennis training. Between 6:30 and 7: 00 is the warming up, running, special exercises. Then, for 2 1/2 hours I play tennis with my coach, Corneliu Enache, and with my sparring partner, Valentin Popescu, a former player, who is 20 years old. "

After training I jump in the car. I must go to "Herastrau" or "Lia Manoliu", depends on the season, where my physiotherapist Ana Maria Finta awaits me. One and a half hours I do other exercises: running stairs, milestones, running, gym. It is important without it you can not succeed in tennis". On my way home, "sometimes I fell asleep in the car," admits Jacqueline. It's already 13:00. "I wash, eat, stay a little bit in bed. At 14:00 I must go, I have the second workout, for 2 1/2 hours. I don't get home until at about 18:00". So this is how a 13 year old girl plays tennis 6 hours per day, plus two hours of physical training. Six days per week!

Every week at 18:30, Jacqueline has tutorials for Romanian, mathematics and English. She's in the eighth grade at sports high-school "Mircea Eliade", where she moved this year. In summer is the entrance examination for the ninth grade and doesn't conceive not take it. Until last year was a student at the more prestigious school "Eugen Lovinescu", where she managed to learn very well, despite her schedule. "Now tennis has become my first priority. I could not cope there so I moved to "Eliade". "Teachers are more lenient, especially when I miss school due contests," admits Jacqueline. Still goes to school 2-3 times a week, when doesn't do the physical training. "I try to do my best in school and tennis," says the 13 year old kid.

"I always go to bed at 21:30"
This is how it goes every day for "Jachetă" (Jacket) or "Zuzu", as colleagues call her. "We don't have to tell her anything. She goes to bed by herself at 21:30, she knows what awaits the next day and never did mischief in the past 10 years" says her mother, Luminita. "Sometimes, when I have free time 30 min or an hour, I read or watch a movie. I especially like vampire or horror movies. I am fascinated how they transform themselves, perhaps because I do the same thing, I'm totally different on court" adds Jacqueline.

Hundreds of serves per day
One of Jacqueline's main weapon is her serve. In the final of Les Petits As, against american Alicia Black, which she defeted, her average service was 170 km/hour. And she's just a girl of 13 who already has 1.73 m! "I worked hard for years, hundreds of repetitions for each exercise, to get here. And I still have so much to put in place, especially the drop shot and lob" said Jaqueline. "We repeat on court, watch the video, make the corrections, and repeat again, then the video," confirmed her coach .

"Sunday is my Christmas!"
Sunday is Jacqueline's only day off. "I don't play tennis, I don't run, I do nothing. I usually play on my computer, I go to the mall with my physiotherapist and sparring partner. They are with me every day. After a week of "torture", they spoil me from morning till evening. For me it's Christmas," says Jacqueline, who in the past three years was only 10 days with her parents on holyday, last September in Antalya, Turkey.

"I know this is the price to become a top player. But I like tennis and will not stop till I get where I want, among the best in the world" (Jaqueline Cristian)

"I know it seems odd for a 13 years old girl, but I don't have friends, I do not want [to have] maybe because they would not understand me! My friends are from the tennis world. And my mother is my best friend!" (Jaqueline Cristian)

"All the great champions have gone through what she passes now. Without such a schedule, you have no chance. But she never skipped it. The best example: she had 40C fever on Tuesday, but yesterday (02.02) she left for Austria with the U14 team"(Cornelius Enache Jacqueline's coach)

191 km/h was Jaqueline's fastest serve delivered in the final of Les Petits, the record of the competition:eek:

Although she's Romania's number 1 in the U 14 category, Jacqueline was very close to miss Les Petits As tournament. "The registration is done through e-mail. I sent the form, but I have not verified the confirmation, which should have come automatically. Somewhere a "short circuit" occurred. Eventually, with Mr. Sever Dron's help and the FRT, we managed to get a wild card for Jaqueline, "said Cornelius Enache, the one who is coaching the young player from the age of 4. Jaqueline has played six games to win the title, losing only one set in quarters, "when spaniard Julia Payola took my first set 6-2. But I changed the tactics and won."

Her model is Sharapova
"I like Sharapova because she is always aggressive on the court, just like me. I had the opportunity to see her training for Australian Open. Impressive. She trains the way she plays. Very serious. Only misses a ball every 10 minutes but she apologizes. She has two boys as partners. I also talked briefly with her. It was something very special for me to meet the player who's my model "

"In December, when I trained at Nick Bolletieri Academy, I talked briefly with Sharapova. She looked at me while I hit the ball and told me that if I am serious and I work hard, I have great chances to become a top player. It was the most beautiful compliment "(Jacqueline Christian)

Missed it for sticking only to prosport as of late :silly:

She's taller than me. :tears:

But an upcoming Romanian player with a serve! She must have a great career!

What a fighter and what an insane ambition, but that's the only way to reach the top, especially in countries like Romania where your support from sponsors = nearly 0

However I can already see some hating potential in her if she will reach the top at once, knowing how this board fares with fierce competitors, but that's still so far away and future will tell, but we don't have to be afraid about her losing her goals out of sight! :)

Actually if this girl really broke through big, I mean like top 10 big, I think she could become hugely popular internationally. As for this board she has two things going for her that should make her far more popular than say Alex or Monica. 1) It is pretty obvious she is going to grow into being one incredibly beautiful woman. 2) She hits the ball very hard and has a big serve. With those to qualities she is ensured a big fan base on this forum, especially if she is successful.

Speaking personally, I hope she does well. That said, me being the way I am, I admit to be more inclined towards players who's role model is someone like, say, Fabrice Santoro, than someone who's role model is Maria Sharapova. But of course that's just me. Many on the board will love it that she looks up to Masha.

She can polarize the board easily, that's true. And the looks are very important on TF and today in general. I only hope for a Romanian to really break through into upper world class and judging from what she said, she doesn't care about other people's view anyway.
