Where are some good travel destinations you would recommend to go see? Where are some places you have yet to be and not gone?

I definitely want to go to Rome, Italy. I've always been interested in Ancient Roman culture and Italian boys. :p

I would recommend visiting Croatia, its a beautiful country and has great beaches!

So where would you guys want to go or recommend? :)

Rome is great if you have a couple weeks, at least. One week or two days does not do it justice (it is like Paris in that respect). Unfortunately, you could get sick of the hustle and bustle of Rome after a week; :) best to rent a place in the countryside and make day trips to the city and various towns in Italy.

Yosemite is also wonderful, but you have to go very early or very late to avoid the onslaught of tourists. That's the sad part of it.

I would love to go to Rome and the Vatican. The buildings look magnificent. I have heard that some parts of West Africa like Ivory Coast and Ghana are also beautiful in their own way and a great experience.

Places I enjoyed visiting:
Washington DC, the monuments and museums!
London, England, the museums, people and buildings!
Salt Lake City,Utah, might sound like an odd choice but give it a chance, it is spectacular and there is lots to do!

Places I would not recommend:
Las Vegas, Nevada, surprisingly boring if your idea of fun doesn't involve cheesy musical acts, gambling or drinking
Vancouver, BC, can be very sketchy in parts, the people are not the friendliest

Visit Dublin, its amazing :hearts: Thats all you need to know :p

I loved.

Rome - Beautiful city, full of history, culture, good food and hot guys. (Just don't fly Ryanair to get there, awful staff on that route (from Dublin anyway) and taxi drivers will dramatically overcharge at that airport.)

Havana - Very interesting place from a political perspective, quite beautiful too, also more hot guys :p

Washington D.C - Good city in terms of museums and stuff, also good stuff to see in neighboring states.

Wouldn't recommend

Barcelona - Pickpocketing rife and overrated imho. But visit other areas of Catalonia in France and Spain much nicer people outside Barcelona.

Toronto - Rather boring, some interesting stuff to see but a weekend would probably be enough time to see anything important.

Budapest is the most beautiful city I've ever been to.

Not to imply that I've been to a lot of cities or anything.

Recommend:
Rhodes, Greece :hearts:. My favorite place in the world, and I'm not even from there
Melbourne, Florida, USA Really great. Great beaches and great weather and very friendly people. Bad nightlife though :p

NOT Recommend:
Orlando, Florida, USA overrated
Chios, Greece One of the most boring islands in Greece. The nightlife is good but the beaches are average :p

this is soo true. i will never understand people who drool over barcelona. it's a nice city and everything, but plenty of people say it's the greatest city in the world :o and there are so many pickpockets it ain't funny. there are plenty of places in spain that are more interesting. andalusia is great overall. madrid is also quite cool especially since there are several very interesting places close to it which are all worth a day trip. i also love canary islands, especialy la palma and tenerife.

also, what i don't like about italy in general is that it is so touristy and expensive. i like some places there, though.

there are plenty of destinations in europe that i enjoyed visiting, but it all depends on what you're looking for.

Even though I like Barcelona, I have to agree it's painful to go there in summer, everywhere is packed with people. I didn't get mugged there though cause I always pay attention when travelling alone.

I like Barcelona because of the beach right in the city centre (also Sitges is amaze and really close to Barcelona) and the small cities around it

i also didn't get mugged because i was careful - i always am, even though i did drink too much one night at the hostel, lol :o but barcelona is one of the few cities where you have a good chance to see other people getting mugged :o

like i said, it's a nice city, but at times totally overrun by tourists and there are other nice but less popular places too.

Berlin is my favorite city in Europe. The atmosphere there is just great, excellent transportation, deliriously cheap for a major Western European city and great parties everywhere.

I recently saw Glasgow. I was there for two days, and while not enough, I really enjoyed everything I saw and experienced even if the Glaswegian accent was sometimes difficult to understand.

Lisbon is an awesome city, too.

Rome is a love-hate city for me, and the guys there are not that attractive. For attractive men: Holland, Sweden and Germany. I wonder if this says something about me.

Pickpocketing is bad in Barcelona and Madrid. BUT both cities are so much fun, and you can't beat the Prado.

Because Montreal can have a very european feel if that's what you're looking for, at a cheaper price. And in other parts, it's very american. So there's a little bit of everything and well, there's ME ! ME !! HA HA HA HA HA ! (Youtube : Julia Roberts, Family Guy, for reference purposes)

This puzzles me, because I never used to find blonds particularly attractive.

If you're somewhat adventurous, go to Colombia. The country is beautiful, the people are beautiful and the nightlife is great. I particularly loved Medellin, it's such a vibrant, interesting place. The people are so friendly partially I think because they want to counter its reputation for violence and are so happy to see tourists. If you have a light skin tone though get ready to be pointed at and called a gringo a lot; it's not really that bad, it's just annoying.

Would love to go to Istanbul, everyone who has gone says it's amazing!

Is that a problem :o?

Places I am planning to go this year:
Tallinn+Riga+Vilnius+Helsinki+Kaunas during Easters
*possibly* Marrakech in July again, and if Egypt is peaceful I really want to go to luxor, if not istanbul or poland is not a bad idea
another euro trip starting from switzerland to italy, slovenia. A kind of graduation trip

Of course it is. It's like visiting Israel and saying that you always wanted to see Asia. There's very little of Asia in Israel and very little of Africa in Morocco (or Fes in particular)...

Of course Fes is somehow a little pit westernized - it even has McDonalds in it. But don't forget there is a huge medina in fez, and if you want to, you can go outside fez to the volubilis ruins around Meknes (These places are part of Africa definitely). The bus ride from town centre in fez to airport is quite an experience to be honest. And the airport mess

I went to Barcelona last year and I must say I felt completely safe there although I know plenty of people who have had bad experiences. I thought Las Ramblas was a big load of nothing but I loved Montjuic because of all the gardens and parks and the views from the castle are worth the air-fare alone.

I'm going to Budapest this year in July for the tennis and a holiday and I'd love to try Krakow or Tallinn too.
