Stosur?! :spit: Yeah, especially her amazing backhand.

I like to think JJ's overall game is quite pretty, though her forehand to a lesser extent.

I obviously think Dokic has unreal flowing strokes.

Maria's backhand.

Ivanovic's forehand.

Serena's serve, it has a really great aesthetic.

Steffi Graf had the prettiest and most effective strokes of all time. Flawless and destructive. No comparison.

Nastia Pav. Her strokes look effortless

Yeah i second this, never even crossed my mind.

They even look great when she's out of position, which is pretty much always.

Have no idea why so many people like Zvonareva's strokes, IMO they are fugly :tape:

In order:
Jelena Jankovic
Alona Bondarenko
Ana Ivanovic
Patty Schnyder

Her serve and topspin backhand were hideous.

Completely incorrect. Her serve was natural looking, had excellent disguise and allowed her to set up her forehand as well as hit a lot of aces and unreturnables. I can't believe you would say it's hideous.

As far as topspin BH, it was a beautiful shot. She could make anyone look like a fool with her topspin BH if she desired to do so. Steffi was lethal with her BH, it was an underrated shot because of her FH.

Alona Bondarenko's strokes are so smooth. :hearts:

Also, Sharapova's strokes in Wimbledon 2004 were very crisp.

Her backhand is a good shot, a great shot. It just looks very ugly, the motion.

How is it incorrect? You may not agree with me but it doesn't make it incorrect. Beauty is objective and I think her serve and backhand were ugly.
Although sometimes beauty is not only objective, it's a fact like wonziacki's forehand:tape:

Aren't you supposed to be a fan of players whose style you like the best?

Of course, that´s the point, this question is basically the same as "Who is your favorite player?" :p

On the other hand that´s not the only one thing which should have a player if (s)he wants to be someone´s fave...:p I guess there are people which like someone´s style but they are still not a fan of her/him

Davenport's strokes are absolutely amazing to watch. Best ball-striker I have ever seen in the men's and women's game.
And also Capriati
Hantuchova
Ivanovic's forehand
I also think Zvonareva has clean, crisp strokes as well from everywhere.

Slutati
Jan 26th, 2011, 05:01 PM
Hantuchova, definitely. Her shots are so clean and smooth whens he's playing well.

Alona Bondarenko hands down.

:) As an Alona-fan I'm pleased to hear that so much posters like her strokes. I personally love her game but I would not describe her strokes as very pretty, I think Szavay or Hantuchova are more natural ball-strikers.

Natash.
Jan 26th, 2011, 09:56 PM
Polona's forehand. :hearts:  Szavay has a pretty backhand and I also like Alona Bondarenko's groundstrokes. I love Goerges' forehand.

Mary Pierce as well. :)

Watch Hantuchova´s 2002 Indian Wells final and you will never forget that BH DTL. Really effortless, natural and accurate..

Her game used to be so much better than it is now.

I really like Wozniacki´s backhand too. It´s dead effective.

Ivanovic´s forehand used to be beautiful to watch. Na Li has pretty strokes too.

...still the 'prettiness' of strokes has never won anyone a match so.

Rogowska's ground strokes are pretty when she isn't hitting the ball 3 metres over the baseline. :hearts:

Its been a while since she has played at a high level though.

Also can't look past Patty :)
