List current players in which you believe fall under the following categories "Dead, Dying, Reviving, or Comatosed" And give reasons as to why you think so. Try not to troll too much. Their current horrible form is overshadowing their good achievements little by little.

Dead - They can't win anything anymore. They embarrass themselves on court most of the time but refuse to retire because they are too proud and believe a revival is in their future. Plagued by injury thus allowing them to never get anything together long enough to make a statement. In short they need to retire, their presence in the sport is almost non-exisitant anymore.

Dying - Can no longer get the results they used to get despite their valiant efforts. Came back from injurying or retirement hoping to be better or at least the same but they just go worse. Their game is slowly escaping them and their losses are becoming worse and worse. Prepared to ride out their career till the bitter end just for the money.

Reviving - Players hell bent on retaining their lost glory. Coming back form injury or retirement and playing well, possibly getting better. Slowly getting there, going deeper and deeper in draws and getting big wins, but can't quite get the W when they need it most yet.

Comatosed - Players that want their best form back, or have fallen down the ranking after big wins but the odds are against them. they occasionally get good wins and go deep in draws and receive hype that only last as long as their immediate 1st or 2nd round exit at the next tournament. their potential is enormous but they can no longer put anything together on court. They'll remain stuck this way till the end of their career staying in the top 50 but not really getting to top 20. They won't get better or worse.

The players you choose don't have to have all the qualities listed in the categories above. They are just same of examples of what I believe classifies a player to be inn them. if you have different definitions of the categories by all means tell us and justify your list and reasoning :)

DON'T JUST FOCUS ON TOP PLAYERS!!!! Include any player.

You call it an embarrassment, but you have just described what I believe is the hallmark of great sportsmanship - aka! keep trying your best.

I understand where you are coming from but there is no way you can feel good on court or have any sort of confidence if this is what has become of you. There is a time where it's time to call it quites while you still have dignity and some sort of legacy. If you keep playing while our "dead" you mostly likely to be more remembered for being SO bad than for w/e achievements you received before you got to this point.

Why do you think I haven't listed my opinion yet  but tbh, some players you can't label because they are just so streaky. Like Jelena.

LightsOut!

Who cares about embarrassment? As long as you enjoy tennis and can still make a living playing it then why retire?

The 100th ranked player made 180000 dollars last year. It's hard to say how much of that gets eaten up by expenses, but in the real world there aren't many jobs that pay that much.

So they do it for money, regardless if they enjoy it or not. I can't blame them but they embarrass themselves none the less.

I'm the same with Justine...
Though can I categorise her in all 3?

Anyways the Reviving: not Justine.

6-match-losing-streaky? :sobbing:

JJ is trying, but things just aren't working out for her.
Ana is trying, but each small success is followed by another setback.
Masha is trying, but everytime you think "Bam! The bitch is back", whoops, another Arn match.
Vee... injury after injury after injury.
Justine... reinvention gone wrong?

Can't really put either in any of those categories.

Lats time she had a long losing streak she turned it around tremendously. And it's not like she has lost to bad players in 2011
