I have noticed that during every match of Kim's, the commentators always mention the fact that she is the only mother other than Evonne Goolagong to hold a Grand Slam Championship. I also noticed that during the press interview with Francesca Schiavone after her win against Kuznetsova, she mentions during her very first question, that she hope that her son one day gets a chance to watch the DVD. Does anyone have any more information on this? I know she is marrried and mentioned the fact during her speech at the French Open. Love Schiavone...love Kuznetsova. Too bad someone had to lose this match btw!

Franny was talking about her future son, she's not a mother yet.

Who is she married to?!!!!!!!!!

I don't know who she is married to, however, she did mention the fact that she is married in her speech at the French Open. There looks like there is some personal information on her website: www.francescaschiavone.com (http://www.francescaschiavone.com) but the English portion of the website is not up. Perhaps if anyone can read Italian they can find something out! We gotta get to the bottom of this! lol

Hmmm...I just re-read and listended to her FO interview on court. Maybe I misinterpreted...what do you think:

FRANCESCA SCHIAVONE: No, that's okay.
I think in that moment you remember many things from when you are ‑‑ when you were young. Is special because is your space, is your time, is your opportunity.
I felt alone, but with all the love around me is ‑‑ bo. (I don't know.) It's like if I ask you, How did you feel when you married? You say, It's not easy to explain.
Is not enough?

BUT...she did say in her AO interview that she hopes that her son gets to watch the DVD. If she does NOT have children, don't you think she would have said, "I hope my CHILDREN will get to see the DVD"? Instead...she used "son".
For gawds sake...SOMEONE HAS TO KNOW THIS...WE ARE ALL TENNIS FANATICS ON THIS WEBSITE!!!! LOL

might be...Sybille Bammer also has a child who appears a lot. My question, however, is Kim the only GRAND SLAM title holder with a child. ;)

The bold part in your quote is exactly why she isn't married. She is talking to the reporter, not about her marriage.

She retired due to pregnancy (and other stuff such as lack of ambition) but suffered an abortion

Uhh...yeah. I am wrong. I misinterpreted the quote...hey, didn't say I was perfect. Obviously experienced some sort of dork seizure...

Well Serena is not a mother. So yes, Kim is the only GS title holder with a kid.

You know that there are only 3 GS titles holder right now ?
