How old is Na? She's like 29 right? She probably has like 1 more good year left in her if not less.

Good for her and her relative success though.

Has Na got a new coach now? Maybe Thomas Hogstedt should try emailing Na asking if he can have his job back Ha Ha. Anyway - the plan should be to get a coaching job with someone better and once he's secured that to email Masha.

NaNa is Asian. Asians can go on and kick butt even when they're in "retirement-age". :worship:

She was a late bloomer. I think she can continue to play great tennis for some time. Considering that there are so many older tennis players who are seeing success, I think that Na can do the same.

Oh God Na sucks and has no future in tennis anymore at whatever her age is - who'd stay in a sinking boat ? (...) it's a big challenge to bring a multiple slam 23 yr. old great champ back to her best, hopefully it works, Maria has the will, the talent, so much time and hopefully the right coach to do so.

Maybe he should just show up kinda like how he just left :)
But I don't really know anything about Na's husband's coaching style, so I don't know whether she will get another coach. If she is getting good results with him, then that's good.

It's not like these results are really unexpected so I'm sure he knew what he was getting himself into. ;)

I read on the BBC website that her husband is her coach now.

"The best thing about having my him as my coach? His credit card. If I play well I can take it and buy whatever I want."
China's Li Na explains the key to her success and credits the decision to employ husband Jiang Shang as her coach for the 2011 season.

At the end of the day, as long as those Sharapova checks keep clearing, he will be happy with his decision.

This. There is a very good chance, a very very good chance even, that Na Li is going to have a more successful 2011 than Maria Sharapova. But I suspect Thomas Hogstedt's financial deal with Sharapova probably means he is earning something like three times as much dosh as he was last year. And that is something I very much doubt he is going to regret.
