I'm curious.:)
Will they get in a slump?
Will they be top 20?
Top 10?
:confused::confused:

Kvitova will be top 15 in year end rankings. Probably not top 10. Once her Wimbledon points come off, she'll have some ground to make up.

Benesova will get in a slump, while Kvitova will not.

Well this is Kvitova's 2nd deep run in a slam and she's still young and just starting unlike Benesova. If nothing happens to stunt Kvitova's development, she can be top 10 easily, looking at the players who ar top 20 right now.

Well Kvitova and Petkovic which made the Brisbane final earlier this year made the 4th round. Quite and achievement :bigclap:.

About Benesova I have no idea :shrug:

Kvitova will be top 20 with another win at the AO. If she doesn't make it to the QF she'll still only need less than 170 points to crack the top 20, so unless she goes in a major slump right now, she's bound to make it in the next weeks at the latest. :shrug:
I don't expect any great things from Benesova, she's so hot and cold that I could easily see her going on a losing streak very soon. :unsure:

Benesova is 27 i think so probably top 30 at most

Career highs at the age of 27+ are uncommon. But they most definately do happen. Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez, Sibylle Bammer and Katerina Srebotnik are all recent examples of players who reached the top 20 for the 1st time after their 27th birthday. Francesca Schiavone and Na Li both reached the top 10 for the 1st time after their 27th birthdays also.

Iveta Benesova has always had top 20 ability. She has been held back from reaching that position by numerous personal things including lack of belief, commitment, dedication, determination etc but the skill is definately there for all to see when she is at the top of her game.

While I think top 30 is probably a more likely end of the year finish for Iveta than top 20 I certainly would not rule out the possibility of Iveta finishing in the 20. It wouldn't be easy. It would require Iveta to play her best tennis day in and day out throughout the year with no dips in form. Not an easy ask. But she does seem motivated and confident right now. In the interview after the match the interviewer asked her if she could get back near her career high of 25. Iveta stated very emphatically, with no prompting, that she wanted to get past that career high.

Oh and as for Kvitova, I said I expect her to finish in the top 20. I do. But really she should be aiming for finishing the year in the top 10. While a top 10 finish is very much a tall ask, it is still well within her capacity.
