Melbourne crowd has obviously some serious problem and arguable don't have enough love and respect for WTA former #1 players, which they deserve for sure.

Are they really expect of every women which once reach #1 WTA spot to be perfect person, almost saint or angel or whatever??? True, they do really just like the underdog. They can support whoever they want to.

But the mock grunting was pretty stale and disrespectful, most of all the one who yelled 'Shut up Sharapova'. They do seem to like the cheap jokes. Like last year when Serena or Venus would play, they would yell 'Go ______ (whichever WS wasn't playing)' a lot. Overheard a conversation today about someone paying someone else $5 to yell that last year. Not cool to the players.

personally one thing i don't like about sharapova is not the screaming but the time she takes to serve, particularly if you consider that she makes 10 df per match, it's a little bit discouraging if you root for her
