Klara :help: served for it at 5-4 in the third and played about the ugliest game I've ever seen.

Lucie :)

It was TENSE, Klara was just too tired toward the end, Lucie is not consistant but she know how to deal with close matches....

Klara was 3-1 up in first and had few BPs for 4-1, missed them all :o

first 6 games in second set were breaks, Klara had first SPs at 6-5*

third set started with a break, not sure but wasn't she 40-0 up at *1-0?

Lucie fought back and was *4-2 up, lost next 3 games but then won 3 in a row

Yay Lucie :cheer:

People were saying it was the worst match of the year, so at least she won. And I was just saying that every match Lucie played this year so far has been 3 sets!

Good lord. A psycho match between these two. Kookie was kind of hilarious at the handshake.

I like Lucie, but Klara was wiping the court with her in rallies.

Lucie somehow held (relatively) strong, and it got her the win.

She's going to have to play smart and well to have a chance against Zvonareva.

Yay Lucie :cheer:

Probably grumpy and impatient Murray fans. That match was no gem, but I've seen worse.

The winner to UE ratio was bad, but not wretched. They both just smack the hell out of the ball (though Lucie has added just a little variety) and only they know the rhyme or reason to the momentum shifts.

Wow that was torturous :help: ... but Lucie wins back to back matches at a grand slam for the first time in two years. :inlove:
I can see why Klara has had success before and in this match against Lucie, her hard flat forehand cross court to Lucie's backhand exposes her poor movement on that side, where most of the time Lucie just loops it back. Fortunately for Lucie she hung in there despite being erratic and sometimes outplayed, and waited for Zakopalova to implode, which she did. There were a few bits of good tennis interspersed with the choking/errors. ;)

Lucka and Claire are among the most unpredictable players... Safarova always find a way to choke sets and matches away. I think she's the 3-setter queen now!
Claire, nice try ;)
