Good luck next round!! :) :bounce: Fretchap Jan 17th, 2011, 04:14 AM Could have been much easier and shorter, but what matters is that she won :bounce: Six Feet Under Jan 17th, 2011, 04:14 AM Junri  LindsayRulz Jan 17th, 2011, 04:16 AM :hearts: Beca should have won in straight and almost choked a 5-0 lead in the third but she's done it! :worship: hablo Jan 17th, 2011, 04:17 AM A win is a win. Michael. Jan 17th, 2011, 04:20 AM Namigata did a lot better than I thought she would. Congrats Becca. :cheer: :bounce: Randy H Jan 17th, 2011, 04:20 AM Becca :hearts: Perhaps made it a bit tougher than it needed to be, but did what she needed to do and there were a lot of solid points and serving overall :yeah: First time seeing Namigata play, solid player and seemed like a nice girl, good to see her having some strong results as a late bloomer :) Hopefully she will keep it up in 2011 :) Ralph214 Jan 17th, 2011, 04:28 AM Becca! Go reach the fourth round :cheer: Craig. Jan 17th, 2011, 04:30 AM Davai :hearts: Temperenka Jan 17th, 2011, 04:31 AM Good start for Becca :) CrossCourt~Rally Jan 17th, 2011, 04:36 AM Nice win Becca :yeah: Noctis Jan 17th, 2011, 04:52 AM Sakura Junri :( letshavefun3 Jan 17th, 2011, 05:31 AM woohooo Becca!! jimmy_the_greek Jan 17th, 2011, 05:37 AM well done becka!!:bounce::bounce: the jamierbelyea Jan 17th, 2011, 05:39 AM I think Junri will have a lot of matches like this, these 3-set losses like she had in Auckland qualifying. She is so very steady, takes it early, prototype of a Japanese player. Good mover. This match was always in Marino's control though, but when she didn't hit it strong enough Namigata was able to expose Becca's weak movement. The 3rd set really should've been even closer then that, Junri lost both of her service games which went to deuce to open the final set, but had a lot of chances. Vincey! Jan 17th, 2011, 05:46 AM That was a lot tougher, but she managed to win the match! She's sure relieved now! She could beat Schiavone if she plays freely!! :D Good Luck! Edy. Jan 17th, 2011, 06:26 AM Congrats Rebecca :) P_Fer Jan 17th, 2011, 06:41 AM Nice win Becca! :) TS Jan 17th, 2011, 09:19 AM Watched a bit of this match. Marino has a big game and is a very talented player. Should have won in straight sets, but her opponent clearly played better when I wasn't watching. ¤CharlDa¤ Jan 17th, 2011, 10:14 AM Becs :) Will be interesting against Schiavone and her variety. andrewC Jan 17th, 2011, 11:55 AM Junri :tears: Noctis Jan 17th, 2011, 11:57 AM Sakura Flower :( Only 2 left. SARA-GOAT Jan 17th, 2011, 12:00 PM Junri  wozniak 1990 Jan 17th, 2011, 03:18 PM Marino can beat Schiavone and Pironkova. Schiavone almost lost to Parra Santonja and Pironkoa barely survived Parmentier. If Marino has a higher 1st serve percentage than yesterday ( 51% ) and less UEs ( 43 I think ) it's in the bag.:bounce: SARA-GOAT Jan 17th, 2011, 03:22 PM Marino can beat Schiavone and Pironkova. Last summer, she beat Bartoli, took a set to Mattek-Sands and then lost to a Alizé Lim ranked 100000000 in the world. I think that Namigata was more dangerous than Schiavone for her. maxomax Jan 17th, 2011, 04:14 PM Good win for her, she was the favorite and managed to win this match! She probably secured a spot in the top 100 with this win :) | |
