If you lose in all 3 disciplines before Monday, January 24th (meaning you lose in singles 1r, 2r, or 3r; doubles 1r or 2r; mixed doubles 1r, 2r, or 3r) you can participate in the ITF Challenger in Kolkata, Indonesia (basically losing before the quarterfinals).

Kolkata, India you meant there sir?:p

Singles Results, First Round

[1]Bianka Harlow def. BYE
Bianka came here, as a surprise, and has a lot of pressure to win the title.

[5]Karen Amato def. Hafdis Bjork Runarsdottir 7/5, 1/6, 6/3
The Icelandic teen is now 0-2 on the tour but is slowly starting to regroup the fans (or groupies) that followed around Heidhrun.

[7]Aveta Tenesova def. Lindsay Galbraith 7/6(7), 6/2
Another tight set lost for Lindsay who is on the edge of breaking through. She now looks to Fed Cup as Aveta moves to the quarterfinals.

[3]Vittoria Perez def. Caroline Smith 6/4, 4/6, 7/6(5)
Caroline was so close to winning her first match on the tour, but Vittoria pulled through moving on.

[4]Cristina-Elena Vladimirescu def. Annalisa Benedetti 6/4, 4/6, 7/6(4)
This was another tough battle in India that saw these two slug it out for about two and half hours with Cristina winning.

[8]Berenika Wojnarowska def. Alesandra Kirilova 6/4, 7/6(2)
Berenika was actually the lower ranked player here because of Alesandra's late entry. However, she was able to pull through and move on.

Rita Cebolla def. [6]Blanka Vrzanova 7/6(3), 6/2
Rita becomes the only unseeded player to move on to the quarterfinals as she moves past Blanka.

[2]Anastasia Nemayeva def. BYE
Anastasia, like Bianka, is really hoping for success here as a higher ranked player.

Singles Results, Quarterfinals

[1]Bianka Harlow def. [5]Karen Amato 7/6(1), 6/2
Bianka gets her first win of 2011 under her belt against Karen who looked a little tired from the travel and yesterday's long match.

[7]Aveta Tenesova def. [3]Vittoria Perez 6/3, 6/4
Aveta had a relatively easy match today and Vittoria, who could be seen smashing rackets on the court, left frustrated again.

[4]Cristina-Elena Vladimirescu def. [8]Berenika Wojnarowska 6/3, 0/6, 6/3
Despite going on walkabout in the second set, Cristina overcame Berenika with her consistent baseline shots to move to the semifinals.

Rita Cebolla def. [2]Anastasia Nemayeva 7/6(4), 6/7(3), 7/6(4)
She's the only unseeded player to win a match in Kolkata and she's still going strong after an impressive upset of Anastasia.

Singles Results, Semifinals

[1]Bianka Harlow def. [7]Aveta Tenesova 3/6, 7/5, 6/4
Bianka struggled today against Aveta, but a win is a win and now she finds herself in the final.

Rita Cebolla def. [4]Cristina-Elena Vladimirescu 1/6, 6/2, 7/5
Rita keeps plugging away and winning matches in Kolkata and upsets another seeded player to move on to face Bianka for a chance at the title.

Singles Results, Final

[1]Bianka Harlow def. Rita Cebolla 7/5, 6/4
Rita did an excellent job of making the final, but Bianka was just too hungry for this title and took it in straight sets. She had a lot of pressure, being the top seed and losing early in Melbourne, but she delivered on her first title in 2011.

Harlow Victorious in Kolkata: Rebounds from Dismal Melbourne Trip

http://www2.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Ana+Ivanovic+2011+Australian+Open+Day+2+oecB8KY8Uf xl.jpg
Kolkata, INDIA- On Friday, twenty-sixth ranked Bianka Harlow won the second title of her career in Kolkata. After a disappointing performance in Melbourne, having lost in the first round of singles, doubles, and second round of mixed (after being seeded 8th), Bianka instantly signed on for the Challenger tournament in Kolkata. Bianka's coach stated in a press conference that "Bianka was determined to rebound from her poor performance in Melbourne and did not want to go a week without playing competitively."

http://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/images/photos/001/114/871/ivanovic_crop_340x234.jpg?1295378148

Bianka came into the challenger as the #1 seed and played some wonderful tennis, winning the final over newcomer Rita Cebolla in 2 sets, 7-5 6-4. Harlow lost 1 set in her road to the Challenger title. Having been plagued with injury throughout her career, Bianka Harlow reached her peak last year having played her first full year on the circuit, winning her first singles title in Stuttgart and climbed all the way to the top 30 in the world. Harlow hopes that this win in Kolkata will give her some confidence going into the Fed Cup and Paris.
