It makes me laugh when people use Serena as a measuring stick for their faves. Kim is no Serena.

Serna lost to Lena.D, not to Li Na. So you can't really compare.
And, yes, Li Na is able to win a slam, she'll just have to be consistent, and patient. Just like she did in final against Kim.
From what I saw, Kim has no really chance to win the OA, she's so mentally fragile...

I like her, and she had a good run in Sydney, but she's a dangerous floater and that's it. :smoke:

Na is obviously a dangerous player and she really improved her game, esp. the variety of her forehand and the serve in these years.

Her achievement in AO SF and first top 10 hit give her much confidence as well.

But she needs to play more consistently and smartly to win a grand slam.

Really happy for her progress and hope she will do it!

Love you!

How is she a dangerous floater if she's a seeded player? :weirdo:

She's inconsistent to win 7 matches in a row. So not her.
Possibly some Chinese in 20 years or so time.:) Chinese players sure will make their stamp on tennis in the future like on any other sports.;)

Li na has to play well for 7 consecutive matches in order to do so.. She has to show that yet..

Exactly, Kim is a mental lightweight compared to Serena

well FYI, Zheng and Yan already won 2 slams for doubles so no.
as for singles, Li has a great chance this year, but she is inconsistent so...who knows...

She showed she can for 6 than folded 7-6 7-6 to best player

I don't think so but hopefully she's helping to inspire the younger Asian players to come through. I'd really like to see Asia as a big part of tennis and begin to challenge for the very top spots, as they have done in many other sports recently.

YES!

And she'll change the definition of the NaNa slam to actually winning slams!
