Just about any good shotmaker could take out Sunshine in the 1R. A puffballer like Dulko, clever though as she is - no chance.

Sunshine will not provide Dulko with any pace to divert/work with; I dont see Gisela pulling an upset.

Hoping Caro can show some good form, build some confidence against Gisela. Dulko's had some sweet wins in Slams, but they've been against big hitters who were having off days. Caroline wont make loose errors (unless she plays horrible) and she doesn't have that type of pace. I'm hoping for 6-3 6-2 Caroline. She NEEDS some good wins here.

Dulko totally can win this match but a lot of it depends on how Caro's playing and whether or no Dulko takes the initiative. Caro won't give Dulko the pace she likes.

Caro in three, but it wouldn't surprise me Dulko wins.

She capitalized on off days for big hitters (although Azarenka's shots looked like cream puffs at RG last year) to cause her famous upsets of Sharapova, Azarenka and Ballbashtine. Give her zero pace and she looks clueless. Remember her losing to Scheepers aafter beating Azarenka :tape: ?

Perhaps not, but Caro is 0-3 against Martinez Sanchez and Dulko's game shares some of the same characteristics (not many but some).

True. But doesn't Wozniacki tend to show her limited, seldom-appearing, more offensive side against these types of puffballers? Dulko is a good defender so she could lure Woz into mistakes.

While I don't think this will be a great tournament for Caroline... I doubt she will go down in the first round. Gisela is a good match-up for her and Caroline has proven to be fairly good under pressure. I expect Caroline to at least make the third round.

Caro has to get to Henin for it to be an okay tournament. If she gets past that, its a good tournament. She's #1 in the world. Draws like this shouldn't stop her until she faces other #1's, like Henin, or at least other YEC players.
