I can't think of too many occasions where both the worlds top two players lost on the same day(even more so early in an event)...

Los Angeles 1999, semi finals: Hingis lost to Serena, Davenport lost to Halard.

The first one to always justify Caro's losses.

This was probably the 1st time, because they both were playing their 1st match at the tournament & lost.

Wozniacki and Zvonareva are the worst #1 and #2 combo in history of women tennis, even worse than Jankovic and whatever was the number 2 at the time...

But combined they have 3 slam finals, not to mention numerous other tier 1 finals to their names.

...if the bigger names would play more then and play at a high level year round then they would not be 1 and 2!! To me, Caro should be number one since she won the most titles last year and most of them where not MM. It is not her fault that Serena, Justine and Kim don't play much. I know Justine and Serena where out with injury but even if they where not they would still play very little.

Sarcasm?

The WTA wouldn't look that bad if it wasn't for Roger and Rafa.

Which is amazing this fact, considering Roger/Nadal number 1 and 2 combo is the best ever in the mens side... comparing to the worst of all time in WTA! :fiery:

They are world's top two ranked players. Not the world's top 2 players.

Yea umm they are the TOP two, your attempt failed......you should have chosen "best" two players for your defense.

They are the Top 2. You're confusing Top 2 with Best 2.
