From what I saw.. Rezai was in such a foul mood complaining to the umpire about the Serb fans which made them cheer even louder.

I don't really get it - this girl is once again squeezing through to reach another high stage of a tournament. No big win - and no possible big win as she faces Pennetta in the QF.
Some girls are born lucky.

Others face Henin in 2R of IW and AO and retire versus Schiavone. :spit:

You're saying she's lucky compared to Dementieva when Dementieva won this tournament twice in a row?

Not really.I'm just saying that she gets to another upper stage of a solid tournament by beating far from their best form opponents while others are never as lucky when it comes to the draw.:p

And Dementieva was never lucky lifting the trophy in Sydney by beating the hottest players at the moment (incl. Serena twice and 2009 Dinara). :worship:

I don't understand the moral of the story....

Maybe Bojana should retire because she's so lucky?

aravane :( playing against jj is like having a bye except that you get some points for beating her. it says nothing about anyone's current form.

well done bojana, though. soon to be the serbian #2 right behind ana :p

Um...she beat Jankovic in Beijing. If beating a Top 10 player who is a former #1 is not a "big win" and "lucky" then what do you classify as a "big win"? Beating Serena Williams? Anyway seeing as you're a hater already and she has had "no big wins" she must be doing something right :wavey:

Well, it's wrong then that I'd like players in the latter stages of a tournament to make some noise by beating top-level players or just at least show some consistency before getting a decent ranking?

Don't call me hater just because I'd rather praise Kvitova and Lisicki for their wins over Venus and Lindsay when making their tour debut than Cornet and Wozniak squeezing to top positions.Jovanovski has enough time to show her potential though.:)

Don't know if you've seen bojana play. I think she's the real deal. Her forehand is as good as Ana's.
Also against Kenapi I was impressed how she applied pressure at exactly the right moments to win key points. She'll do very well against higher ranked players. From what I've seen of her she's a very focused player. Maybe it was my imagination, even her walk reminded me of henins!!! :)

Of course, the stress would come to a boil. Towards the end of the second set, Rezza hit a winner that was called out. As there's no Hawkeye on Court 1, Rezza went completely ballistic. She walked up to the umpire, complained forever, and threatened to pack her bags. "If she wants to win like this than I will just pack my bags." I kept expecting Bojana to turn her back on the antics, but being the newbie that she is, she kind of just stood there, so she could see Aravane's dagger glares and finger pointing. I was sure the kid would get rattled.

As she kept going on and on and on with the ref the crowd started to get into it, yelling at her that the ball was out and just to keep playing. She stepped to the line and a woman shouted "JUST PLAY TENNIS!" to which Aravane turned, nodded her head and said "Thank You." Of course one woman couldn't let it go and yelled "But the ball was out." At this point, Rezza started crying and had to collect herself to get her serve off. She would lose the game and sit in her chair crying.

With a chance to serve it out, Bojangles couldn't capitalize. She had three match points but Aravane would collect herself and play those points solidly, breaking back and eventually forcing another tiebreak. I was sure that Bojangles would drop it, as the momentum seemed to switch to Rezza's side after Bojana couldn't convert the MPs. But she didn't! She closed it out in the tiebreak, much to Rezza's annoyance. Their handshake was, let's just say, what you'd expect. Bojana went in for the shake, Rezza put her hand out but refused to shake hands until she had some words with the kid.
