not sure how reliable this list (http://www.popjustice.com/forum/index.php?action=printpage;topic=26633.0) is, but here it is anyway, so we can all bathe in its horribleness:

:rain:
I didn't know people still listen to Linkin Park. Not one I like. :sobbing: Except for Mumford & Sons perhaps. I haven't listened to their album in full--not much of a fan but I guess one is better than none.

Saw many entertainment news showing this list, so I guess it's somewhat reliable.:p

That list can't be comprehensive, or then the record industry is in even worse shape than I thought. OTOH, who can blame people, given how shitty & boring some of those in the list are.

Wow, sales are horrible

They sure are. :tape: A few years ago those sales would've been considered flops, considering the amount some of those artists are being pushed into the public conscious.

Does this include digital downloads? If not then this list cannot be considered completely accurate. Very few people actually buy hard copy's of CD's.

Mumford &Sons at 16! Wow, that's pretty impressive. When I saw them live, they still had this "I can't believe this is really happening to us" glow over them. It was really cute and heartwarming.

A few years ago this would have been the list of top selling albums in the US alone. How things have changed.

I always thought more people buy physical CDs than digital albums. Not everyone has credit cards .

It seems Katy and Rihanna have songs you listen on the radio but that don't make you buy the album.

I wonder why. Maybe they thought they can listen to the whole album for free all the time when the radio plays them.

Well it's all English language albums isn't it.

Shakira's Sale El Sol has sold over 2 million copies in 3 months (even without release in Australia and the UK), and it's not even in the list.
