Once again, this will be TennisForum marquee match from beloved posters, Young_Gunner913 and Mr.SerenaWilliams. The venue will once again be in 2009/2010's Most Miserable City in the United States: Stockton, California on the outdoor hard courts of the Nelson Community Park. This clash of these two titans will differ then previous matches because both players will be playing with wooden rackets. The H2H is quite clear cut but that doesn't mean this will be a put away by any means.

H2H: Young_Gunner913 vs. Mr.SerenaWilliams
1: 6-1, 6-0 [YG had a knee injury]
2: 6-1, 6-3, 6-0 [YG played like a top 600 junior]
3: 6-0, 6-0 [YG beat himself]
4: 21-6, 21-17 [YG played 20%]

Interview with Mr.SerenaWilliams:

Q: You've played against YG 4 times and have won all 4 matches, do you feel confident that you will win a 5th time in a row or does the change in rackets make you a bit more nervous?

SW: Obviously. It doesn't matter what kind of racket I play with, I could play with a cucumber and still win.

Q: What part of his game troubles you the most?

SW: He's a fast mover and can get a lot balls back in play. But I'm fine with hitting an extra shot to win the point.

Q: You and young_gunner are quite close despite your dominant H2H. Is that because you don't feel threatened by him?

SW: Well, we've been friends since before I started beating him in tennis. We're friends before rivals. But no, not threatened by him at all.

Q: Last time you two faced each other, in the exhibition match, he had quite a few tricks up his sleeve. Do you think he'll have any more left for this match?

SW: Oh, I'm sure he'll do the hand, fall on the floor crying, smash his racket to bits so he can't play anymore. Anything he can do to win a game, since we all know he ain't winning a set.

Q: One last question, which tennis great are you representing in this match.

SW: Miss Althea Gibson yall.

Q: Do you feel that you have a bit of trouble getting over the fact that you've never beaten Mr.SerenaWilliams in a match before?

YG: Well, our H2H isn't that great looking because you can't count W/O wins but I do have 2. But every match we play is a fresh chance to get a win against him so I look at each match we play as an oppertunity to finally beat him.

Q: What about his game is hard for you?

YG: Well he just has so much brute strength, way more than I do which he can thank Justine Juice for.

Q: You have been known for playing smart matches, any tricks you have for tomorrow?

YG: Tricks? I don't need tricks to beat Reggie. He's probably still going on about the hand incident but he did it too! And I apologized and told him I'd never do it on purpose, I'm not a Justine fan. So he really just needs to get over it.

Q: What is your prediction for the outcome of this match?

YG: You know, if I play my game at the best of my abilities I should kick the crap out of him. Unfortunately if any minor thing is wrong, I might not do so well. Wooden rackets are very hard to play with so hopefully he'll have more trouble than I do.

Q: And one last question, who are you representing in this Old School Battle?

YG: Miss Billie Jean King!

First off I would like to say that I didn't know that instead of Reggie, I would be playing Justine Henin. :rolleyes:

We were supposed to play with wooden rackets, which I had been practicing with all week, then last minute, Reggie "forgets" the rules and we have to play with our regular ones which totally fucked up my timing and groundies. Then I hit an amazing second serve, best second serve I've ever hit and I look up and Reggie Henin did the hand to me!!!!! I was so pissed off I double faulted and the match went down hill from there. He hit lucky shots and I feel violated. :sad:

Well my serve was doing somewhat okay despite the 14 double faults I hit. 4 times times on BPs. Few times on GPs. :o But it was one of my better serving days until Reggie did the hand and I lost all confidence in my serve after that double fault. :sad:

Incase this point has not been stressed enough I will say it again, Matt won just one game in three sets :hug:
