Arthur Uther Pendragon, Britain's best-known druid, said he was anticipating a much larger crowd than usual at Stonehenge this year. But he doesn't agree that the world is ending, noting that he and fellow druids believe that things happen in cycles.

"We're looking at it more as a new beginning than an end," he said. "We're looking at new hope."

The inside of the mountain will then open up, becoming a safe place to hide as the sorcerer goes on to destroy the rest of the world. In the meantime, some old coal mine shafts have been opened up as safe rooms for the dozens who have arrived already.

My (older) daughter stayed home...she said all they were doing was watching movies anyway and she has to work later. I was fine with that. My younger son went to school - didn't want to miss his party. I was fine with that.

It's the right attitude. I'm a big coward and I would behave differently in that situation, but your attitude is better, because you're sending the right message to your kids, it would be horrible for them to see their father frightened. I remember when the bombing started here, my mom was freaked out and it was not a pleasant sight, but my father acted completely normal, he just went to sleep right after bombing started. He said that he had to work in the morning and that we should do the same instead of watching the news whole night. It helped, because even in moments when I got truly scared, the only thing I had to do is to look at my father and see how calmed he was, it was enough.

It's the right attitude. I'm a big coward and I would behave differently in that situation, but your attitude is better, because you're sending the right message to your kids, it would be horrible for them to see their father frightened. I remember when the bombing started here, my mom was freaked out and it was not a pleasant sight, but my father acted completely normal, he just went to sleep right after bombing started. He said that he had to work in the morning and that we should do the same instead of watching the news whole night. It helped, because even in moments when I got truly scared, the only thing I had to do is to look at my father and see how calmed he was, it was enough.

Saw a documentary about people who prepared for the end of the world, they sold all their belongings and collected a huge amount of food, candles and stuff. I want to see what are those poor stupid peole doing now.

Speaking of the global warming- I'd wish it to come. At summer/spring, my hometown is really a paradise city where the grass is green and the girls are pretty. There's no better place I'd ever seen than Bialystok, Poland between march and october. BUT in the winter its turn into a fucking shithole made of snow and ice...PLS NO MORE winter

Study Affirms Consensus on Climate Change

Many debates about global warming seem to boil down to appeals to authority, with one side or the other citing some famous scientist, or group of them, to buttress a particular argument. The tone is often, “My expert is better than yours!”

Against this backdrop, some analysts have been trying for several years to get a firm handle on where climate researchers come down, as a group, on the central issues in the global-warming debate: Is the earth warming up, and if so, are humans largely responsible?

Now comes another entry (http://www.pnas.org/content/early/2010/06/04/1003187107.full.pdf+html) in this developing literature. William R.L. Anderegg, a doctoral candidate at Stanford University, and his fellow authors compiled a database of 1,372 climate researchers. They then focused on scientists who had published at least 20 papers on climate, as a way to concentrate on those most active in the field. That produced a list of 908 researchers whose work was subjected to close scrutiny.

The authors then classified those researchers as convinced or unconvinced by the evidence for human-induced climate change, based on such factors as whether they have signed public statements endorsing or dissenting from the big United Nations reports raising alarm about the issue. Then the authors analyzed how often each scientist had been published in the climate-science literature, as well as how often each had been cited in other papers. (The latter is a standard measure of scientific credibility and influence.)

The results are pretty conclusive. The new research supports the idea that the vast majority of the world’s active climate scientists accept the evidence for global warming as well as the case that human activities are the principal cause of it.

hold on, you all......it's not over yet, infact the destruction has begun......an atom exploded in the mayan region when the clock ticked 00:00:00 on 21 dec 2012 and is slowly but surely causing a chain explosion which should catch up in about a year's time and destroy everything......

The Mayan calendar only marks this as the end of the 13th B'ak'tun and the beginning of the 14th. Nowhere in the culture is it taught that there is to be a Doom's Day. All this myth about Armageddon is totally alien to the Mayans. Therefore, expect the world and your descendants to be around for at least another 400 years.
