Pervak bt Chaky 6-2 6-2 :help:

Anna's first serve percentage for the match was only 46% and she only won 35% behind her first serve! :tape: I hope this match is just Anna shaking off the rust and she'll do a hell of a lot better next time. It's pretty woeful otherwise.

I don't even know that to say...... I'm so disappointed :sobbing:
I thought Anna would easily def. exhausted Pervak, but .... :tape:

This is a very bad start. You wonder if she wants to give the mental effort it takes to win at this level.

Oh dear. Not a good start. And she's planning to play Sydney?

Everybody in Brisbane is tough, even LL Pervak! :haha:

Pervak leads Head To Head now 2-0.
Anna never won a set.

And IMO Pervak has only mediocre potential.

Anna's first serve percentage for the match was only 46% and she only won 35% behind her first serve! :tape:

So bad. Shockingly bad. :o And she used to have a solid serve ...

If she doesn`t improve significantly in her next 2 events I really begin to wonder what she has worked on in the off-season.
Or is she mentally that weak?

We will see ...

I was at the match, at chakvetadze was rodionova esque. In the last few games of the match, there were some questionable calls. At one stage, Anna screamed, THIS IS A FUCKING JOKE! and then hit a ball at the fence, which missed the linesperson by centiremetres. She then yelled at the umpire for a good couple of miniutes, and then another questionable call happened, and she threw her racket at the fence and cried, then she tanked the rest of the match. She didnt shake the umpires hand. Ive never seen someone leave the court so fast. She didnt even put her racket in her bag.

Gotta love it!

This was Anna's first match of the year, and she would have wanted to start things off on the right note. Maybe she just put too much pressure on herself coming into it. Everyone is hopeful that this will be a great year for her considering what she was able to do in the second half of 2010, and she knows that people's expectations have risen. Pressure usually hurts a whole lot more than it helps. Let's not forget that the same thing happened to her at the beginning of last season -- losing 1 and 2 to Kimiko in Auckland. She then settled down after that, and started to play some decent tennis.

When Anna is cool, calm and collected on the court, things go well for her. We all know that she is capable of shrugging a bad loss off, and she can do it again. The trick will be for her to go into the Open with a cool head. If she goes into the AO with the mindset that she will treat every match like if it's just another ordinary match, I think that she will do just fine. There is no need to panic even if she starts a match off badly, because she proved again and again last year that she can turn a match around. Anna has got the ability to perform; she just needs to believe in herself. We need to stick behind her 110% this year, because it makes absolutely no sense just letting the gains that she made in 2010 go to waste.

I really have nothing against showing emotions on court. As long as it doesn`t influence the game in a negative way!

If there's another player you don't want to emulate it's Rodionova. Anna doesn't want to garner a bad reputation for herself. She gets enough stick in GM as it is.

Hi! What's GM? Sometimes for me it's difficult to understand what you people are saying, too many abbreviations. :) Native speakers! :) Thanks!
