I remember having seen this thread for 2009 and 2010, but I couldn't find an updated version of it, so I figured I'd make one.
In this thread you can post what you expect from the Belgian players.
I'll start, I'll be rather ambitious for some:
Kim Clijsters - To win (at least) 2 grand slams making this her most succesfull year ever. End the year as number 1.
Justine Henin - To go deep in grand slams again, maybe make at least 1 final (RG?), win at least 1 WTA tournament, end the year in top 10.
Yanina Wickmayer - Go deep at some grand slams and win at least 1 WTA tournament, get inside top 15 or even top 10.
Kirsten Flipkens - Get to another WTA semifinal, get to at least one more 3R at a grand slam - finish the year in top 60.
Tamaryn Hendler - Get you stuff together! Show some consistency, and manage to get in top 200.
Sofie Oyen - Win a (few) 25K's and get a ranking inside top 200.
An-Sophie Mestdagh - Get some good results in 25K's and get to top 250.
Alison Van Uytvanck - Win at least on 10K and get a ranking inside top 400 (her own goal)
I'm not that well informed about everybody, so I'll leave it at that :)

This is what I said last year:
Yanina: I'm going to presume the ban will be lifted. Reach the QF of a GS. Finish the year top-16. Win two tournaments.
-> She reached R16 of 2 GS's, ended the year #22 and won one tournament (not counting Torhout). So a bit under my expectations...
Kim: Win a GS. Finish the year in the top-5. Win 3 tournaments
-> Great year for Kim. Did what she had to do and even a more! :yeah:
Justine: Win Wimbledon. Finish the year in the top-5. Win 3 tournaments
-> Justine was out for a large part of the year, otherwise the three tournaments and the top-5 would have been no problem I think. I hope she will win Wimbledon one day!
Kirsten: Finish the year in the top-80. Reach some QF's in WTA-tournaments. Reach R3 in a GS, R2 in another. Win 1 high ranked challenger. Don't lose to players outside the top-125.
-> Kirsten was also out with an injury over the last months. All in all she certainly fullfilled my expectations :-) She reached four QF of WTA's, 2 times R2 in GS. She only played one challenger, and had some very nice wins and kept the bad losses at a reasonable level.
Tammy: Play challengers and try to win a 25K. End the year in the top-200. Don't lose against players ranked outside the top-250.
-> Not the year I expected for her. She finished the year ranked around 370. Her best win was against #175, 8 losses against players outside the top-250. She reached one Semi of a 25K.
All the rest: try reaching the top-500 and go far in 10K's.
-> Apart from the above players we also have Oyen, De Wael and Mestach in the top-500. Oyen won a 10K and reached the finals of a 25K and a 10K. De Wael didn't have one stellar result, but had a whole bunch of semis in 10K's. Mestach reached the final of a 25K and a 10K. So well done girls, they all improved their ranking considerably! :yeah:

So now 2011:
Kim Clijsters - Win the USO again, Win the AO. Go deep at RG and Wimbledon. Finish the year as Nr1.
Justine Henin - Find her old game again by the start of the clay season. Win RG, Win Wimbledon. Go deep at the USO. Finish the year in the top-4.
Yanina Wickmayer - QF of at least 1 GS, win at least 1 WTA tournament, Stay top-20.
Kirsten Flipkens - 3R of 2 GS's. 2 semis in WTA-tournaments. Finish the year in top 60.
Tamaryn Hendler - I'm losing hope here. Every year my expectations go down instead of up  On the one hand she's still very young and she has displayed great signs of talent in the past. On the other hand, her last real good win dates from a long time ago and in half her matches she gives up... Not improving in tennis (and certainly at her age) is going backwards... So, what do I expect... Let's say I hope for her she stays injury free, takes tennis seriously and gets her fysical state on a decent level. Allthough very young I have the feeling this year will be now or never for Tammy. Or she will stays where she is now/continues sliding down the ranks, or this will be a turning year for her with finally some good results again.
Sofie Oyen - Win at least one 25K and get a ranking inside top 250. Win against a top-150 player. Avoid the bad losses (outside top-500)
An-Sophie Mestdagh - Win at least one 25K's and get to top 250.Win against a top-150 player. Avoid the bad losses (outside top-500)
Alison Van Uytvanck - Win at least one 10K and get a ranking inside top 400 (I can alse agree with her own goal ;-) )
Valerie Verhamme - Win at least one 25K and get inside top-350. Keep up the consistency (avoid losses outside top-550)

This is what you said last year ;-)
-If ban gets suspended and she is able to compete a full season: Get close to top 10 (probably around march - april), reach the 4th round in a grand slam at least twice. Win at least one more tournament. End the year in the top 20.
-If she can't play Australia because of the ban, but it's lifted later on in the season: Try to make a 4th round in a GS, and finish top 35. Maybe still win a tournament.
Win at least one more slam this year, and at least one more "Tier I".
Go to Doha and finish 2010 in the top 5.
This is the most difficult, but seeing as she was one of the top players.
Win at least one more slam and one more tournament besides that.
Go to Doha.
Finish inside top 80 again.
Win a high Challenger (100K)
Reach at least one more R3 at a grand slam.
Get your act together and win some matches!
Start playing lower Challengers and work your way up
Get in top 200 be the end of the year.
The rest is to difficult to say.

This is what you said last year ;-)
I think the girls did rather well according to my expectations.
And the ones who didn't (except Tammy) still got very decent results or suffered injuries.
