Once a week. Twice at most. My body becomes stiff and aches a bit the morning after during competitive play or if we played for about 2 or more hours.

I try to play twice a week during most times of the year. :D However, it gets expensive during the winter months as my local club charges $30 an hour. Now they just added an additional $3.50 hourly surcharge for "peak hrs play" :help:

Currently training for next years season of tournaments this is my first year of playing a fullcircuit of competitive tennis in my 16 years of playing :) been playing since the age of 8 so that's quite a long time without subjectig yourself into that environment but it's exciting to finally take that step! I'm ready I play or train 5x week 1-3 hours usually I do 1 hour of weight training every other day and 3-4 days of running ( usually between 10-15k) distances on top f that I also mix yoga and pilots too just to balance it out. So it's alot but if u want to compete u have to be ready too.. and I'm rather serious so...

It was actually a joke..."playing" being a euphemism for sex and "practicing my serve" a euphemism for...um...:o

Absolutely none during the winter :(

But during the summer I played at least once a week, but I'm hoping to triple that this summer.

I play three times per week. I train twice per week then play the social/team competition once a week. I guess one of the joys of living in Australia is that it never really gets that cold so weather doesnt really play a part in my ability to play.

I've got a court really near the house, so since May to August I try play 5-6 times for a week. There aren't any indoor hall near, so I don't play since November to March.

Used to play much more until about 18, now it's mostly about once a week. Actually, I fear it will be less and less in the future, I can't imagine to play three times a week with a full work schedule.

Uhh I used to play 6 days a week 4 hours a day. I am probably on 5 days a week 2 hours a day now. I had 2 months injury/exams for university (MOVING BACK TO AUSTRALIA!) so I am extremey unfit but I am hoping to make it into a university team so I can play semi competitive tennis regularly.

5 times a year or less. I started playing two years ago with a coach but it became too expensive for me. No decent hitting partner I can find here in the Philippines, most are elitist and snobbish tennis players who look down on you (whatever), after all this is a third world country and tennis is mostly for the more affluent. But I hit against the wall every now and then and I'm planning to teach my sis to play in a nearby court so I can have a hitting partner. Not to mention FYB is GODSEND.

Not very often:sad: Here arenīt people interested in tennis, many of then are playing football, handball, ice-hockey...so itīs hard to find an opponent...And itīs too expensive to playing a club-tennis for me:(

I would play with you. I also have no one to play with... well actually I do but the courts are kind of far away and it's difficult for me to schedule my life around going there to play and finding the courts free. They are also REALLY cheap (but heavily occupied).

If I had someone specific to practice with I would go regularly, but as of now I haven't played since... early November??

It's Fuzzy Yellow Balls. Lessons from a tennis coach here are so expensive, so I decided to watch and download tennis instructions on Youtube.

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who went through it. How did they treat you anyway? The snobs here were like sticking up there nose when we got to the court for our turn and we heard them snickering. I remember thinking: "God, this is so high school."

The main thing was these old guys who playeded like every day who play hogging the courts and being rude to me and the people I played with (one guy actually told us to "shut up"... so I told him "It's not a library." :p)

Also when I started playing they would ignore me despite me having no-one to play with.

That's why if I always play with anyone who asks whatever their level. I also make an effort to make them feel relaxed and have fun because IMO being tense/feeling the need to be perfect makes you play worse.

winter time 3 times a week. summer well 5 times a week but can easily be 6 or 7. with helping to run the tennis club though i am not always there for me, i can be there to open up and make up numbers if needed for social tennis, be running team training ect. but generally i like to hit at least 4 times a week in the summer, more around matches time.

I'm sorry I got to reply only now . My internet connection got busted and it had to be repaired in the past few days...

That's pretty annoying and juvenile if you ask me. I'm lucky the older peeps here in our neighborhood are very nice and would sometimes give us free tennis balls. The ones I dislike here are the new money young players who think they're better than everyone else just because they have the latest racquet or shoes. So petty.
