Hi Guy's I hope you don't mind me posting this but I found it and I thought you might want to see it as I haven't seen many around.

I found this on the "Question of Sport" website (UK fans will know what it is - it's one of the best Quiz shows in the UK!). The show has a picture board round, where the player picks a number and behind the number is a picture of a sporting personality. The player has to then guess who it is, and this picture is from the game on the website.

Hope you like it!

Thanks RayRob - I saw that episode, the guy guessed marat safin when the answer wasJennifer (duh) Not quite sure how he got that, I don't think that Steven looks like Marats little sister, but maybe that's just me.

Cheers for that, nice pic, one for the family album methinks...

Also, QoS is presented by Sue Barker who coincidentally won the French Open back in 1976, 25 years before Jennifer. Spooky? or have I just got too much time on my hands and a need to get Sue Barker the credit she deserves as a tennis player not just a TV blonde?

I think the answer would be "too much time on your hands" Snuffkin LOL

Sometimes I do wonder why people don't give Sue Barker the credit she deserves sometimes. I say this because my family have often said to me "I don't know why Sue Barker presents Question of Sport or Wimbledon - she never did anything!" When I tell them that she had Won Rolland Garros they don't seem to believe me.

Now, I wasn't around back in 1976 as I wasn't born until '82, so I don't know the kind of people she beat in order to win the title, but still she should be credited for her performance - shouldn't she?

Or maybe I'm going off on a tangent and/or have too much time on my hands, LOL

I think Sue's great during Wimbledon, I don't like QoS but that's because of Ally McCoist and John Parrot.

Sue's way better than that slimy John Ingram (I have no idea what he's called so I'll guess that) who's only interest is his shite 'Kornikova Korner'

At the risk of turning this into an 'I Love Sue Barker' thread, you can bet your bottom dollar next year, we won't hear the end of 25 years since Virginia 'I do have the most annoying voice on TV ' Wade winning Wimbledon. But this year, whilst Jennifer and Kim were battling it out for the French, where was Sue? At bloody Epsom, that's where? And was there one sinlge mention of Sue during the Beeb's coverage? No way.

We here in Briatin have few enough champions, so why we cannot recognise those we do is beyond me.

And just to keep this thread at home in Jenn's Den...when Jenn won the French she was asked how it felt to follow in Chris' shoes and become the first American for 15 years. Obviously Jenn was delighted, but can I suggest that she would have been even more delighted had someone told her that she was following in Sue Barker's shoes, 25 years on? Ya see, her greatest moment and no one told her.

John Ingram...or John Inverdale?

Inverdale sounds about right - he only really does it the evening. It's obvious he doesn't give a shit about the actual tennis.

Was he a tennis player? Or just a hanger on?

I think he's a rugger man but I could be wrong. Either way he knows nowt about tennis, but then so do the Beeb's designated tennis people. Dare I mention John Barrett, Virginia Wade et al, who are so out of touch with the game today it's scary.

I agree Snuffkin, I think that people on this board have a better clue about todays game than beeb's people. I wouldn't mind having their job... free tickets to wimbledon, just have to get a grand slam first... ahem.

I find that their male commentator - I dunno what's he's called, a running theme of my posts is that John Barrat?- is SO bloody sexist it drives me nut. Kept going on about how they didn't deserve equal pay, and called all the women 'girls' even if they're 30 or whatever.

To make this a valid Jenn's Den thingy.... Um, we really need to write in here more, it looks like she has no fans compared with the other players.

Go Jen!

Is it my computer, or has the picture changed into Kevin Keegan playing golf?

Yes, it has changed. now to Kim, the reason for this is because I got the origional picture from the picture board game off the Q of S website. The game is up-dated every week so the pictures will change.

Let's just let this thread die a death now

bye for now,
-Rachel
