I have tickets to the evening session but im not going just to see a Kanepi vs. Wickmayer match. How boring.

Night session, I think but to be confirmed.

Day session. CBS has priority. Monday is Labor Day -- a holiday -- in the US.

The night session will probably be Kuznetsova/Cibulkova. It could also be Zvonareva/Petkovic. Don't see Kanepi/Wickmayer getting the night.

Is this even a question? Arguably the two most attractive (top) girls in professional tennis. There is no way this match would be anything but the night match.

What?! The night matches at the Open are so fun. No way should Maria and Caro not be the night match. Urgh.

It's a holiday in the USA on Monday, therefore they will want to show the match during the day for people who aren't working.

With all due respect, I would not go to see either Kuznetsova/Cibulkova or Zvonareva/Petkovic. Those are helicopter court worthy matches.

Oh yeah how could I forget about labor day? It's such an important holiday!

I know, and it sucks, but it also means Sharapova has a better chance to lose during the day, and that can only be good.

CBS has already said after Maria's win that the Maria-Wozniacki match will be on Monday Afternoon on CBS

Like every other sport television rules; the sport caters to television not the other way. On Monday CBS has the day coverage while ESPN 2 has the evening coverage. CBS has clout over ESPN 2 so they will demand they cover this match. It is all about money.

I knew they were going this a day match. Maria has never lost a night match at Arthur Ashe before, currently 12-0. :o

Ugh. But this is such 'night match' quality! They better be the third match on the day session! After a long 5-set men's match!

Damn , was hoping for a night match ala Kuznetsova/Wozniacki last year , with a similar result. That was quite an exciting match , atmospherically,

It's a very 'night match' match up, but I'm happy with it being a day match.

Yeah, AA day matches are usually much more interesting than night ones. And that's the greatest thing about US Open this year as I don't have to stay up late at night ;)

It will be a day match because SUNSHINE will be shining through :)

Sunshine for the win if it's not a night match!

It's definitely a night match in terms of talent and skill level. But if it happens a little earlier, many of the fans will get a treat! Who do you guys think will actually win the match though?
