yea I remember this at around 1991 and Jack Kramer said Venus would be better than Jennifer and people said he was crazy as they did of Richard Williams.

Well at that time Jennifer was a pretty good bet to become one of the greatest ever, I mean she did achieve a lot as a 14,15 year old.

Just goes to show you can't take anything for granted in life.

That was fun to read. Where was that interview from? She sounds similar to what she is now, her attitudes havent changed at all! :D

It's at venustennis.com now and I got it from a source in 1991 when it was done. I'll try and remember some parts that are not on venustennis.com. hmm, let me think.

Ok here goes:
In addition to his "ballet dancer" quote, Arthur Ashe says about Venus something like, "she be a great player but at 11 years old you can't make preditctions and bout anyone."

This was the first time I had a Venus Williams quote ever!
