how frequent do you break your strings?

would you pick durability over playability?

i'd pick playability.

Oh and what tension do you string your rackets?

OMG, I break strings like every week, and I HATE IT!!!!!!!!!! I use 16g synthetic gut w/ durafelx on 2 of my rackets all strung at 65.

The other two rackets I use only when I play tournaments which is sturng also at 65 with Big Banger Alu.

I use a TT Rebel, but I added some lead tape to them because I love the racket but its just that I needed a little heavier head wieght.

Of course you have to go with playability, but when I just play at practices I just use cheap strings.

i'd pick playability though stringing can be expensive if you do it all the time. if there is a happy medium, i'd probably go for that. I don't really break strings that often though, i've probably broken strings four or five times in the last 14 years i've played tennis, and twice were in the same game of the same match (i think my strings weren't sufficient enough for one of my opponent's excessive and powerful topspin shots).

i got my last racquet strung in the middle but probably 1 or 2 lbs over to the side of control - though i'm not powerful by any means, i still play better when i've got a racquet strung slightly more for control than power.

if possible I'd chose both.;)

currently, I find titanium strings to possess both characteristics. a big help to my budget.

I use the TT Rebel, too! I love it. I have mine restrung every week or two with conquest 16 @ 65lbs.
