Centre Court (from 15.00hrs)
1. Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova vs. Jarmila Groth
2. Andrea Petkovic vs. Elena Vesnina
3. Doubles Final: Kondratieva/Uhlirova vs. Daniilidou/Woehr (NB 18.00hrs)

That there is really Grothīs problem. Itīs not really necessary to be this aggressive going after the 2nd serve. A 80% return instead of the 100% return and then finish teh point one or two strokes later would be a better option.

Pavlyuchenkova had to do absolutely nothing from 5-6 15-40 to win nine straight points.

Good job Pavly! Finish her off easily in this 2nd set please.

Patrick345

Pavlyuchenkova is playing this more or less like Wozniacki. That will draw errors from a player like Groth, but it will get her nowhere against the elite.

Patrick345

Groth has too many lapses in her game.

Patrick345
Jul 31st, 2010, 01:26 PM
Wow I canīt believe Pavlyuchenkova is complaining about the warning. She takes time to get her wind back after every long rally. That was the second time she went to the stool to change her racquet after a long rally.

Patrick345
Jul 31st, 2010, 01:39 PM
I really think they need to change the rules again. These 10 minute coffee breaks to break the rhythm of the other player or to get your wind back are complete BS. Every player feels sheīs entitled to change their dress now and update their twitter page between the 2nd and 3rd set.

Is it a toilet break, if so, Nastya must be doing a big bomb!+

She didnīt even bother to change her dress. THis was all about breaking Groth ryhthm and getting her wind back. You could see she was getting tired.

Maybe she was doing a big shit?

Yeah sure on the rules of tennis.

Patrick345
Jul 31st, 2010, 01:54 PM
LOL, there is no justice in tennis. Pavlyuchenkova gets incredibly lucky with two short returns and breaks.

Patrick345

Wow and she gets broken on what were two bad calls imho.

Patrick345

Pavyluchenkova is tired, but Groth canīt step it up, when needed. She geos down 40-0 on three bad errors, then pulls it to 40-30 and a winner on racquet, but instead of Deuce, Pavy holds.

lolz. Petkovic wins the first 10 points of the match to lead 2-0. Serves a double fault and then loses the next three points with UE's to get broken.

Vesnina wins the 3rd set tiebreak 7-2 as she holds on a 2nd serve. The match was 1 hour 46 minutes long.

What a crazy match with a breadstick in the 1st set, a bagel in the 2nd set, Vesnina down a double break at 0-3 3rd set, Petkovic saving a match point and breaking down 5-3 3rd set, and then a lopsided tiebreak.
