View Full Version : Top ten GS records for 2002

Oct 13th, 2002, 12:24 AM
01 Serena Williams CH RG; CH WB; CH US
02 Jennifer Capriati CH OZ; SF RG
03 Venus Williams FR RG; FR WB; FR US
04 Martina Hingis FR OZ;
05 Amelie Mauresmo SF WB; SF US

06 Kim Clijsters SF OZ;
07 Monica Seles SF OZ;
08 Clarisa Fernandez SF RG;
09 Justine Henin SF WB;
10 Lindsay Davenport SF US

Is that really the top ten best GS records? Only in this respect.
That's the ten players who made the semis or better at least once. 06 - 10 are ordered by when the made their semi, the earlier the better. No real reason for that.

The thing that jumps out is, 'Clarisa Fernandez'. Otherwise, its strictly 'the usual suspects'. And on this evidence, I don't think we'll be re-casting Keyser Soze any time soon.

You're not being fair to Martina or Lindsay by putting them so low down.

Ummm...Lindsay played ONE Slam; Hingis played TWO. They are where they should be
