We'll make a cheering thead for JuJu in Zrich ... Let's ope that the early loss in Filderstadt is already digested ;). But, I'm sure she'll have a revival: she has no points to defend, so she will have no pressure and she'll do fine!!!

First I'll post the draw:

Jennifer Capriati vs. bye
[ESP] Concita Martinez vs. Myriam Casanova [SUI/WC]
[QLF] qualifier vs. Ai Sugiyama [JAP]
[CRO] Iva Majoli vs. Jelena Dokic [YUG/5]

[SVK/7] Daniela Hantuchova vs. qualifier [QLF]
[QLF] qualifier vs. Elena Dementieva [RUS]
[SUI] Patty Schnyder vs. qualifier [QLF]
bye vs. Amelie Mauresmo [FRA/3]

[B][U]Justine Henin vs. bye
[ISR] Anna Smashnova vs. Chanda Rubin [USA]
Magdalena Maleeva vs. Marie-Gaane Mikaellian [SUI]
[USA] Lisa Raymond vs. Anastasia Myskina [RUS/8]

[BEL/6] Kim Clijsters vs. Daja Bedanova [CZE]
[RSA] Amanda Coetzer vs. Silvia Farina Elia [RUS]
[RUS] Tatiana Panova vs. Anne Kremer [LUX]
bye vs. [B]Lindsay Davenport [USA/2]

A tough draw for Justine: Smashnova/Rubin -> Maleeva/Myskina -> Davenport/Clijsters -> Mauresmo/Capriati/Hantuchova/Dokic. But JuJu has proven that when she has a hard draw, she does fine.

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: Allez JuJu!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Let's hope for the same story as last year in Germany.
First Kim won in Hamburg and then Justine won directly in Berlin, so why not now again?

Go Justine we believe in you

Justine should beat Anna, altough Anna has improved a lot this year. I still think Justine should win and she will.

Oct 16th, 2002, 06:38 PM
Well done, Justine!!!

This could become the tournament of vengeance. Next is Myskina (from who she lost in Pilot Pen) or Mikaelian (a quite unknown Swiss). It's 6-0 4-6 for Myskina in sets right now.

Oct 16th, 2002, 10:55 PM
Good luck Justine against Mikaelian. Don't let her overpower you, just play agressive and smart and you will win, I hope.

GO JUSTINE, improve you're confidence and you're ranking with a good tournemant.

Oct 17th, 2002, 12:43 PM
Good luck against Mikaelian!!!!!!!!!!! Will be hard imo.

Oct 18th, 2002, 11:07 AM

Oct 18th, 2002, 09:38 PM
Allez Justine! Je hebt de eerste set te pakken (7-5) en je hebt een break voorsprong in de tweede (3-1). Je serve houden en dan pas opkijken tegen de vriendelijke reus!!!

Translation: I was so excited to finally find the scores (I can't get onto the official Swisscom site) that I wrote my message in Dutch. Sorry. Well, to summarise: JuJu won the first set 7-5 and is now up 4-1 in the second. Hold your serve and then look up against the friendly giant.

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Good luck against Lindsay! :bounce: Please beat her! You can't let her beat two Belgians in a row!! :p

(And finally we'll get to see Justine on Eurosport this week! :) At least the ones who have Eurosport. ;) )

Oct 19th, 2002, 07:57 AM
GooD LucK JUJU!!! :bounce::bounce::bounce:
surprise me and win against davenport !!

Oct 19th, 2002, 11:28 AM
Good luck to Justine against Lindsay today!

Oct 19th, 2002, 04:43 PM
She lost to Davenport: 7-6 (7-2) 7-6 (7-5).

Not a shamefull result. But she had a lot of chances in the second set (she was 2 breaks ahead once at 4-1) but the double faulting came up. At 5-5 she broke Davenport, but she was immediately broken back. In the tiebeak it was 6-1 then Justine came back to 6-5 (dj vu Kim Clijsters) but she failed to get to 6-6.

Well, good match Lindsay. Idem ditto Justine. Henin raises to #6 in the rankings from monday, so that is good. In Linz she'll probably be able to go to #5 or even #4 but I'll stop with that becaus when hybris come up, the Greek goddess Nemesis punishes those who think they are always fortunated by the goddess Tyche (luck).

:bounce: :bounce: Better luck in the next tournament, JuJu :bounce: :bounce:

Oct 20th, 2002, 02:36 AM
Hope she wins Linz and can go to #4:bounce: She's suppose to meet Davenport in the semis, so it'll be revenge!;)
