it will be interesting to see how Francesca and Sam are treated at tournaments from now on, now that they are Grand Slam winner and finalist status ... for example at Wimbledon will they play their match on Centre Court / Court 1, or will they join JaJa on Court 18

also will Francesca and Sam now receive many endorsement deals? what are possible products they endorse

They might get some endorsement deals but not many...
maybe a raise from who they already have
No center court, unless someone better isn't playing at the same time as them
They will probably be on a single digit court though..:wavey:

IN the USA Stosur with her personality will not fill Arthur Ashe,Schiavone might get attention because of the Italian New Yorkers.Stosur will definitely get meaty endorsements from Australia..

I'm going to make a prediction - Samantha Stosur will win more Grand Slams in her career than Francesca Schiavone, and because of that she will make more appearances on Centre Courts at Grand Slams.

Venus an serena barely managed to get on CC at wimbledon last year with 7 wimby titles between them, I don't see any favours for Sam and Fran, not when they continue to have only one lady's match on CC per day. If serena begins as defending champ. on day one, venus may get that on day 2, then we have maria, justine, kim, who need to be on centre court too. Don't forget the likes of Caro and JJ (though court 18 and a helicopter are standard issue for her). The next time serena gets on centre court would probaly in the QF if she gets that far.
Wimby just sucks and blows when it comes to women.

This past week alone has showen how much Fran's GS win means to Italy. Endorsements don't need to be in the form of wearing clothes or starring on TV. They also come in the form of speaking and appearances. Something Francesca will do well in. She's a character, people will want to have her at there event. Just because she may not be all over the papers of TV in the USA it does not mean shes not reaping the rewards.

As for endorsements, Stosur is an interesting mix. When she's got the sunglasses on, she's The Terminator. Without them, those blue eyes are guileless.

If she wins a couple slams, she's an entre to a totally new demographic. Without the specs, you want to be her Mom.

Bartoli vs Krajicek, a QF, was played on Court 2. :tape:

The answer is No, No, No, and No.

Wimbledon will put Stosur on center court if she plays Laura Robson, and it would be because of Laura Robson.

It wouldn't surprise me if they put Schiavone on CC for her opening match. They did that for Myskina the year she won the French Open. Either way though, they will certainly be on show courts at the Slams now, even if it's the first match of the day on Court 2 for Wimbledon or the Grandstand for the US Open.

Neither one of them will get big international endorsements, but they will be paid extremely well to promote events and products in their own countries. The first Italian woman to win a slam, and the best female player Australia has had in the last 30 years...there will definitely be people who will jump at the chance to work with them.

Her Oakley sunglasses are the best, I want one...

But Francesca will be on court 17 and Stosur probably will be on court 4

i'm sorry but neither has done enough at Wimbledon yet to deserve CC status. not like that really matters though, as Venus and Serena are often on other courts in exchange for a less accomplished player to be playing there. even still, i think the CC spots for women will revolve around Venus, Serena, Justine, Maria, Kim, and maybe someone like Lena D, but that is about it.

Yesterday at Eastbourne Francesca and Flavia were on the practise courts right next to Wozniacki and Azarenka. Everybody was watching Francesca and paying no attention to Wozniacki.

As top 8 seeds they'll always get show courts barring bad weather.

Fran wont be around for long enough to play on CC, she sucks on grass

This is a headache in the making for Wimbledon organizers.

My personal view is, yes, they have earned the right to play on Center Court.
Will they get the chance to play there if they do not meet marquis players?
I doubt it based on Wimbledon organizers past history.

I think other women will support them if they complain about it.

Wimbledon organizers don't seem to hesitate when they make decisions. They won't have an issue scheduling Francesca and Stosur on non-show courts. At Wimbledon you earn your billing based on how you perform at the tournament. Top billing on Centre Court will go to Serena, Venus, Kim, Justine, Maria, and maybe Jelena. And to be honest that's not even guaranteed considering these players have been shunned at times in favor of the men. Anybody expecting Francesca and Stosur to receive top billing based on their appearance in the French Open final are seriously deluded.

I would hope so because they've earned it. And I would much rather see TV matches with players playing good tennis than matches where the over/under on double faults rivals the score in a basketball game.

Actually, I think that Rezai has more chances to get on Centre Court. She is beautiful and they really like beautiful girls(like Wozniacki-Kirilenko last year).

Well, the headache will come when they need to defend their decision.
Especially if they scheduled non-marquis players men match on Center Court while Fran or Stosur are on outer courts

I bet either one/both of them will be on court 18 one day at least...

Also, Jelena won´t play on center court unless she faces a williams sisters and maybe Henin/Sharapova

Schiavone vs. Wozniak was, rather surprisingly, on court three last year. I suppose it depends who they play but I imagine both players will be on court two for their r1 and r2 matches.

As much as I love Fran and was ecstatic when she won RG, I have to admit that she is not generating much excitement among Eastbourne fans or organizers. Barely anyone watches her practices (unlike say Kim or Woz) and she is not on "centre" practice court, ie court #5 where the organizers put all the big names

They should play on centre court and probably get new endorsements, and if they keep winning, they will have both !

no, no, and maybe.

of course, they will get center court if they're playing against a "star". but against a lesser player, i seriously doubt it.
