Although I hate to admit it, but my friend told me Tammy will surely win, cos the match was delayed and she could recover her fitness level after ever set... :p

But I wasn't sure cos she and Sania have close matches... I recall one match that ended on grass on a 3 set tie-break with one of them winning...

All the way TAMMY!:D:bounce:

Tammy  But it was very close in 2nd set - 4:5 and 0:30 for Mirza on Mirza's serve. :scared:
And I don't think match was so long. :p It's probablly mistake on scoreboard. ;)

Hmm... Then I wonder if Sania was injuried... 1 out of 10 games lost sounds weird...

I was thinking of that too... Even if they took 1 hour for first set and 1 hour for second set + 30 mins for 3rd set (for a 6-1, sounds reasonable right?) it would be only 2 hour and 30 mins...

The clock arenīt right...First and second set was quick, no way it lasts more than 4 hours:p There is sometimes error after rain delay, I remember that the epic match between King and Cibulkova lasted something like 28 hours ..there was 3 tiebreaks but...th match just cannīt be 28 hours long:p

Happy that Tammy starts her winning way on grass. Should be better as tournament goes on.

Nice effort by Sania, hope she does well in the coming event, and be healthy! :D

Too bad Sania couldn't close this out, although I didn't expect her to win this going in so it's a nice effort.

Congrats Tammy...

Okay, day one (first set) was just Sania playing great. She was OWNING with her backhand and dominating most of the rallies. Tammy looked really out of sorts.

Today started off just the same as yesterday and that's why Sania took the lead. But then as so often happens her level dipped, she started hitting a few UEs and at the same time Tammy woke up and started dominating with her forehand. Even so the third set seemed a lot closer than the scoreline would indicate, Sania just couldn't get the breakthrough on the big points and was getting more disappointed the longer it went on. Pics in a bit (from both days).
