Uh oh. Hope it's nothing serious and she's fine for Wimbledon.

Apparently she said to the radio that she has a stomach bug

Isn't she meant to be blogging this week? :sobbing:

Apparently she was suffering from heatstroke after playing two matches in one day at Nottingham, and she hasn't recovered fully yet.

Should be find for Wimbledon hopefully.

Kaia was on fire, 4 aces in her first two service games, 7 in the first set total. She is going to be very hard to beat this week.

Bally  Focus on Wimbledon, last weeks effort makes up for this.

Kaia was the star in this match. She was serving brilliantly, but Bally.. Hope she gets well really soon. Good Luck Kaia!

Lucky for Kaia. :)

Poor Bally - rubbish given that she's blogging and did so well last week. Losing to Kanepi would have been no disgrace at all, but this is a sad defeat given the circumstances and timing.

At least, on the positive side of things, it isn't an injury which is likely to affect her in the wider sense. Food poisoning sucks, but there are much worse things that can cause a retirement in a match!

Get well soon, Elena.
