Very disappointing from Katie. She's completely night and day in her approach (two years ago against Shvedova she was just retrieving and never doing anything other than cross court) as she was going for her shots all the time and the match was entirely on her racket as a result. Sesil was the brick wall, mopping up everything at the back and waiting for Katie to hit wide/long. Katie had a mini-comeback from 1-4* down in the second and started hitting lots of winners and playing well. Break points at 4-5* too but Sesil just outlasted her on some very long baseline rallies. Any pretty good ballstriker playing well wouldn't have had problems with Sesil as she wasn't a danger in and of herself.

Couple of pics later.
