Yanina had a artroscopic surgery today! everything went okay, they removed pieces of floating cartilage in her elbow.
she still wants to get ready for RG though!

Yanina Wickmayer ondergaat ingreep aan elleboog
http://www.nieuwsblad.be/Assets/Images_Upload/2010/05/08/wickmayer_belga.jpg.275.jpg

May 23rd, 2010, 07:51 AM
Yanina, please don't rush back  You are young and if you look after your body you will be able to play many French Opens!

It hasn't even been two full weeks since the surgery. The recovery time depends on the degreee of surgery. At a minimal it is generally 3-6 weeks but sometime it can be 3-6 months if they had a lot of cleaning up to do.

I hope Yanina is getting lots of medical advice and listening.

Athroscopic surgery is not minor surgery.
