For sure. This tournament is so weak she could probably win this if she's in good form. :rolls:

C'mon A-Bog in QD! Halep vs Bogdan in the FQR would be fun.

According to ITF she is from Brazil. No idea why WTA has her representing Portugal.

Anne is on the list?
She needs a semi here realistically to reduce damage.

Oh, Olivia R is in there too. :help: Win a game set please.

Well I believe Warsaw was a premier and as this is international that wouldnt cover all the points, but hopefully with such a painfully weak field, Anne can go deep eg a semi and save a chunk of the points!

Hope Anne builds on last years claycourt success to have her best run on clay to date. I dont know what to expect from Katie, a win would be great but...one has to wonder if she will get it.

Agreed 100%. Last year she showed that she could actually be very good on the stuff. Her powerful and topspin-heavy groundstrokes (especially forehand) are perfect for clay, she moves well, is extremely fit and her typically low first serve % isn't as much of an issue on the clay. I just hope she's feeling confident and playing well. I've been very impressed with the way she has come back though, she could have easily come back and lost her first 57 matches but she's doing very well and I hope it continues.

A good result would put her back into the top 100 and although the Warsaw points coming off would be a setback, she has the whole period from the French Open-Memphis to really pile on the points again and get back to where she belongs in the top 50.

Yeh you're right. Anne should be OK. Katies great fitness and her ability to play match after match has always left my surprised at her inability to do well on clay, though she was decent in last years FO qualies and seems to be playing a chunkier clay season this year so I hope that pays off. Its certainly not too late to turn her season round if she can start winning nearly as consistantly as she did last year :)

*lol* She drew Greta who recently lost to players who were ranked as high as #936. And she has a 2-0 H2H against Greta.

Of course I'd love to see my fave winning, but looking at her past performances, I have some doubts....

Two weeks ago Klepac lost to a South African player with no ranking at all and only 3 registered matches on ITF and junior tour combined:hysteric:
Should be an interesting match for these 2:lol:

Great Granaten Greta did it. :worship::lol:

6-4, 6-3 in 1h35 and overall about 140 points played. That seems to have been some fierce grinding.
