Clijsters still was a choker until 7-6 in the tiebreak...

Then she wasn´t choker anymore with that blazing winner she hit at match point, because chokers don´t do that

She´s a enigma

But either one of them would lose to venus in the final

But I guess this thread is tongue in cheek.

I'm a little nervous about the match. Let's not begin with 6-0, 0-6.

well, Clijsters and Venus do like to bring the worse in each other out.... I was looking forward to a Venus beat down on Henin personally......She her fans crumble... Clijsters is a worse match up for her though...

That was unlikely even with Henin's current form. It would have probably been a competitive match.
I agree however that Henin would have been an easier matchup.

So... Kim is afraid of playing Venus cause Kim beaten her in last 3 matches (Vee's last win over Kim on hardcourt was in 2002 :tape: ), while Justin is afraid of playing her cause last time she lost to Vee was in 2003?! :cuckoo:

I think they enjoy playing tough oponents, maybe they were scared to lose hard when they were younger but since 2002 it's 4-0 for the belgians. Tennissers at that level are not scared, they got positive stress at most. unless it's russians...jk

And for all those bitching about the quality of the match just ask the people that really matter, the one that bought a ticket watch the match. All throughout they were on the feet applauding shots, and the whole while on the edge of their seats filled with excitement encouraging their respective favorite player on to the finish line. Who gives a fuk about winners/errors and ending the last point with a winner except for Ted Robinson and Mary Carrilo- fans want to be entertained and I can guarantee the fans that watched that third set where throughly entertained. This isn't freakin' ice skating- you don't get points for making it pretty. That Miami crowd would have rather seen that error filled match then that Venus/Bartoli snore fest any day of the week. From their reactions at the end of the match is was money well spent and that's exactly what the WTA needs!!!

I'm soooo hoping Kim crushes Vee and brings the Vee fans back crashing down to earth. Come on Kim, time to even that H2H, something I knew she'd do eventually!!!

And to the comment they brought up by Roger Federer about every long and close match not being an epic match. Well they may very well be true, but let me also be the one to mention that every match where both players play well and have a nice number of winners to errors isn't an entertaining match. Some clean matches can be some of the most boring matches on earth. When the crowd gets really hyped and vocal all throughout they're on their feet, that's the single best indicator of their excitement throughout- and for fans that's really what it's all about! We want our sports to entertain us. So kudos to the ladies for accomplishing that!!

True & Very True ... I believe entertainment (drama/thriller) value is paramount. But what I want to talk about is your Hall of Fame Signature. How in the ham sammich did you come up with that list...

Sir Stefwhit, you act as though the only people who watched the match were the ones in the stadium. FYI people do actually watch matches on tv and their opinions do count.

Yes unforced errors stat is sometimes not a reflection on the enjoyment ppl get out of matches, but most of the time it is. I mean what is there to enjoy about 18 double faults??

And i would hope you'd want Kim to who becautre you like her not out of some misguided spite towards her opponent's fans (who btw didn't start this thread )

He's a character. I remember when Venus beat Serena in that Wimbledon 2008 final, he was about to have mental breakdown. No Venus fan went OTT.

When Serena beat Venus in Miami the following year, he posted Venus' post match interview in Venus' forum.

He has always had a complex and will always be a hypocrite.

Not really.
I am NOT a fan of Venus, because her tennis is fug.
As for her physical attributes, that is something she cannot help and it is superficial and childish to try to berate someone based on that.
