Lindsay Davenport is a breath of fresh air as announcer. For those of you listening to Foxsports, do you think she outshines Pammy, MJF and Mary Carrillo by a long shot. For one thing, she does not nitpick and criticize. She is fair and balanced. :worship:

I LOVE listening to Linds. She knows what she's talking about, is very insightful and doesn't blow smoke up people's asses. She's pretty funny at times and doesn't just go along with what the guys are saying. I wish she would commentate a lot more cause she's definitely better then the fools we have from espn.

:yeah: ITA. I sat through the Caro/Maria borefest mainly to hear Lindsay's pov on both players. :o She's is a complete natural up there. She's knows the player's games. Stands up for the athletes out on the court when necessary, but isn't afraid to be critical. Doesn't over-talk and blather on about gossipy nonsense during the points. And she treats the players with respect even when she doesn't personally care for their style of play. Total breath of fresh air. :hearts:

honestly at times i thought i was listening to Mary Joe and other times I thought she was Corina Morariu... shes articulate, honest, and knowledgeable. good addition, but needs more personality.

Loved Lindsay as a player love her as commentator. Doesn't talk too much, know a lot about the current players having played against most them, love her wit (always have) and she call a spade a spade without going overboard.

She is a welcome change from the usual :bs: we have grown accustom to over the past years.:yeah: I hope she gets a job quickly at ESPN especially for the majors and replace Carillo. Obviously, Lindsay has respect for the women's game and the competitors and I don't have to cringe or mute the tv when the commentary becomes unbearable. I didn't know it was so difficult to have fair and balance commentary instead of cheerleaders of particular players until I started watching tennis.:tape: I just hope Lindsay doesn't get corrupted by the other bad apples because she is the best of the lot so far.

Lindsay is an excellent commentator. I like Justin too, except when he endlessly praises Federer. They make a good, contrastting style, team.

I also like how she knows the game of the current players (Wozniacki, Azarenka, Stosur,etc.). MJF and them have not played them on the court physically, and only watched them, as Lindsay as played them. She gives good and balanced analysis as well.

The thing that suprises me is that she's so nice to everyone. Sometimes downright scary how nice she is :scared: I'd have thought she'd take shots at certain players at times.

I love her as commentator and she knows what/when to speak and when to keep still.

Plz ESPN ... ditch that Carillo!!!

I enjoy her. And I think it's clear she's watched a lot of (ESPN2) tennis coverage. Lots of her lines are Mary Joe Fernandez standbys.

I thnk Lindsay is an awesome commentator. And unlike that motley crew that we're used to, she doesn't indulge in the on screen coaching that Carillo falls into all the time. She respectfully talks about the player's game, what they're doing at that time and what they're doing that might win the match for them.

I find her very knowledgeable and refreshing. If she did commentary all the time, I might stop watching with the sound off :D

Why does it surprise you? Lindsay is one of the most gracious champions in tennis. It takes ALOT (say a rude opponent hitting balls at her between points with a smug look on her face) for her to act otherwise.

Anyone that overshdows Corina 'Sarah Palin' Morariu is an instant hit.

Knowledgable, insightful, articulate. These are pretty much essential traits for commentary.
