She just yelled F...k! after double faulting and got a code violation warning. She could at least curse in her native tongue.

 I must have missed it. I love moments like those when watching livestream. I'm kind of pulling for Vika in this one because it's sad to see everyone cheering for Kim when Vika is the defending champion.

I never said I stood behind that tirade. Even then, no comparison.

Tori Tori Tori...c'mon. Love the girl but she just can't be trusted. Even Venus who's up and down can be counted on 75% of the time. Those of you who like losers...how do u keep hope alive?

Itīs even worse, they seem offended every time Azarenka wins a point. When Azarenka smashed away the Clijsters split-leg save, the crowd reacted like Azarenka had no right to win the point.

Now she's cursing in Russian. I heard that 'yob' and it means the same thing, except it doesn't cost penalty points...

Kim is playing very well. Azarenka is frustrated and makes more and more mistakes.

I don't think she will win a game in the second from the look of things....

There's a big reason for it - she doesn't endear herself to the crowd with her behaviour or shrieking for that matter

Victoria has the right to get upset at her play. It's a natural emotion and reaction. It may not be pretty but it doesn't make her trash or make her a lesser person. Propriety can be taken too far.

Actually she said that after she missed the first serve. So she yelled that, got code violation and then managed to get 2nd serve into the court, and then Clijsters hit return long.

I'm pretty fucking sure there was another fucking player from Eastern Europe who dropped fucking f-bombs all the fucking time. I think she even fucking won a fucking slam, but for some fucking reason I can't remember her fucking name. She was pretty fucking awesome, though.

Why do people treat 'swearing' as a moral issue? The word fuck never hurt anyone.

I have no idea. I agree with you completely. Saying "fuck" in frustration isn't directed at anyone like an insult, and it only "hurts" people who have some moral issue with it. But usually these same people don't like others to tell them that their moral beliefs are wrong... they want to be left alone as long as it doesn't hurt others.

Also, you can hurt people very badly without using a single swear word. It's not the words, it's whether you use them as a weapon.

Fuck is a great word. It can describe so many things.
But in this context I don't see anything wrong with it. If I was in Azarenka's situation and I DF at a tournament where I made the finals last year and im not playing well now, I would say a lot more.

You are right she should have cursed it in her native tongue.

I guess the main issue is that there are children at these events and that's just inappropriate.
And also, tennis is considered a "classy" sport," so I think that is a factor as well.
